The best thing about this house isn’t just the space — it’s the energy. Myee is a warm, welcoming home where people (and pups!) genuinely care. Even the neighbours pop by to say hi at the back gate — usually to greet Quinn, but they’re always happy to chat if you’re around too. We do our best to create a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels free to be themselves, no judgment. (Okay, mostly. We're human too. 😜)
The house is a spacious 5-bedroom home on a peaceful, tree-lined street in Croydon. It’s about 15–20 minutes’ walk to both Croydon and Ashfield train stations (and their vibrant shopping strips), and there’s a bus stop right out front with direct routes to Burwood and Campsie.
Shared common areas include:
- A large, sunny backyard (great for stretching out or hanging with the dogs)
- A beautiful paved courtyard for outdoor meals and summer hangs
- A cozy lounge/TV room with a library wall and Optus Fetch TV (plus multiple streaming services)
- Two bathrooms: one downstairs (freestanding shower + spa bath) and one upstairs (shower-over-bath combo)
- A generous open-plan dining and rumpus room, flowing into a well-equipped, entertainer’s kitchen
Rent & bills:
- $285 per week for the big upstairs room, practically a studio apartment with attached housemates and common areas, plus a $35 weekly contribution toward bills, meaning your total rent (paid weekly or fortnightly, whichever is easier for you) is $320 per week, or $640 per fortnight.
- Bond is based on a Bond In, Bond Out situation, where the incoming person pays out the outgoing person, and it's a fixed rate of $930.
- All major utilities (gas, water, electricity, internet) are covered by the estimated rate ($35 p/wk) paid ahead on a weekly/fortnightly basis into the household account, which I manage and review a few times a year to make sure everyone’s still paying fairly
- Access to Netflix, Stan, and Disney+ is optional — you can join in if you’d like!
Shared household supplies (like toilet paper and cleaning products) are paid at a flat rate of $5 a week, which is included in bills. If any unexpected shared costs pop up, we discuss as a house and work out a way to split them fairly. I try to organise regular house check-ins so everyone stays informed and heard, but mostly everyone is busy with life, so I manage any comments, special visitor heads-ups, queries, complaints and maintenance requests via a Messenger house chat.

We’re a rare mix — a share house that blends generations and lifestyles, creating a home full of stories, warmth, and creative energy. Here’s a little about us:
Tristyn (that’s me): A writer, reader, and full-blown nerd who adores D&D, storytelling, AI art and deep chats. I live with Quinn, my sweet-natured black lab-cross with soulful eyes and happy “lab pants” who’ll greet you at the door.
Trish (my mum): Moved in with me in 2021 after being hit by a car (she's mostly okay), and brings harp music, compassion, and a touch of enchantment to the house. She plays multiple instruments, sings like an angel, and connects beautifully across all walks of life. Her dog Luna is a blonde bundle of joy — a floofy, bouncy labradoodle who never misses a chance to say hi and share cuddles.
Abram (my husband): A 3D printing & manufacturing wizard, card and board game collector, and currently studying in the fields of horticulture and spectroscopy. Kind, curious, and always up for deep conversations or nerdy laughs.
Damien: Our newest housemate, he's an opera singer, works in psychology and enjoys board games. He's a handyman, and loves to project around the house. Thoughtful, deep-thinking and usually up for a chat or a creative problem-solving session.
