Hi, I’m Sarah, a quiet but friendly 38-year-old. I've just relocated from Melbourne, so I'm looking for a relaxed home for the next 3–6 months while I settle back into life in Sydney. I haven't lived here in about 10 years, so I want to make sure the area's the right fit before committing to a longer lease. I don’t drive, so I’m looking for somewhere close to public transport. I have a bad knee, so I would prefer living somewhere without stairs.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, painting, drawing, photography, and jewellery making. I’m a former horticulturist who would love a garden to potter around in. I love birdwatching, photographing insects and spiders, and contributing to iNaturalist. I’m also passionate about science, politics, learning languages, and keeping my mind busy, and I’m really into sci-fi and anime.

I’m currently on the Disability Support Pension and not working, but I hope to return to study or work once I’ve settled in and have my health more under control.

I have a cat called Maurice who is litter-trained and learning commands like “off”, “sit”, and coming when called. He’s an indoor cat who had access to a secure catio in Melbourne, and it’d be great if the new home could offer something similar.

As an asthmatic, I’m looking for a smoke-free home. I’m also severely allergic to lavender, rosemary, sage, thyme, marjoram, and oregano, so housemates need to avoid bringing these into the house, whether in food or cosmetics.

I’m looking for an unfurnished room, as I have a queen-sized headboard with attached bedside tables. The whole setup, including a mattress, is about 2570 mm wide and 2250 mm deep, so I’ll need a reasonably sized room and/or another space in the house for my large desk (1520 mm x 800 mm).
