Hi! I’m Marilyn, I’m French and I’ve been living and working in Australia for almost 4 years now.

I’m moving from Perth to the Gold Coast and will arrive on the 1st of September (my orientation day is on the 4th of September) to start my Certificate III in Painting & Decorating. I’ll be available for inspections from the 1st of September.

I’ve been working FIFO in WA as a Utility Worker / Trade Assistant, and once I’m settled on the Gold Coast, I’ll be looking for work in the painting industry alongside my studies.

I’m looking for a furnished room in a friendly and easygoing share house. I’m clean, tidy, respectful and pretty social, but I also enjoy having my own space. I’m not looking for a party house, but I’m always happy to have a drink, dinner or a chat with my housemates 😊 Having good vibes and a positive atmosphere at home is really important to me. I’d love to find somewhere that actually feels like a home, not just people sharing a roof.

My budget is around $250–300/week max, ideally including bills, and I’m looking to move in around the 9th of September (or before).

Being close to public transport is important for me, as I won’t have a car when I first arrive. I’m planning to get one later on, so a parking space would definitely be a bonus, but it’s not essential.

I’m looking for a minimum stay of 4 months, with the possibility to extend and I’m happy to provide references from previous landlords if needed.
