A little about what I'm looking for:
I'm hoping to find a, warm and welcoming home to join from 31st September, for around 3 to 12 months. Location is really important to me as I rely on public transport, so I need to be close to the Perth CBD. I'd love to be near my church in Jolimont (so Subiaco, West Leederville or Leederville would be perfect), or alternatively Belmont – but I'm open to other city suburbs.
In terms of availability, I'm generally available after 5pm on weekdays and from 2pm on Fridays, due to my full-time study and paid nanny work. I'm a practising Catholic and attend church in Jolimont, so I'd really love to find a Christian household to be part of. I'm looking to live with ladies, couples or families – I'm not looking to stay with single males.
A bit about me and my experience:
I'm originally from Brisbane, moved to Perth in January, and am an Australian citizen. I'm currently studying my Cert III in Early Childhood Education at TAFE Leederville while working as a nanny, so I'm after something light and flexible that fits nicely around my schedule.
Since arriving in Perth, I've had a couple of lovely live-in arrangements. I lived 6 months with a FIFO family in Belmont, helping with light household tasks and occasional night care for their daughter, who was 2.5 years old. I currently live (for 2 months) with an elderly lady, where I help with the things her support workers don't have time for – like light gardening, dusting, keeping on top of laundry/dishes, and simply providing company.
For my next home, I'm hoping for something similar. For example, I’m comfortable being present overnight for an older child or for an elderly person, offering companionship, helping with a few practical tasks around the house, or just spending time with children in a family home. I'm happy to contribute to the household, keep shared spaces tidy, clean up after myself, and chip in for things like toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
I'm quiet, respectful, take initiative, and very self-sufficient. I cook once a day and meal prep in bulk, usually freezing meals, so freezer space would be amazing – and I don't need any food provided.
I have my WWCC, childcare first aid, Police Clearance.
