I'm Daryl, an engineer working full time up in the City - I came over to QLD for a pretty awesome job opportunity that my employers paid for re: relocation and accommodation for four months - which runs up to 21st Dec. It's been a great move and they want me to stay on more permanently .
I've looked at renting whole individual properties however this looks like "mortgage money" - so am looking for a share house option as am imterim play whilst I make plans for next year, and practical arrangements for possibly making a purchase. Hence, I'm looking at cost-effective ways to stay on here for 3 - 6 and perhaps 12 months whilst I work out the next steps.
Ironically, I have a farm property in WA which I rent out using flatmates, so am hoping to use same service to find a place for myself!

My main factor re: being a housemate will be I come with an Irish wolfhound X, Cooper - my best pal. As above, I drove over here as part of my relocation, taking advantage of an awesome (paid!) road trip along the way, however the main motivation for driving was as the easiset/least stress way for Cooper to come with me - you can see him in the pics :)

He's a legend, the star of the show everywhere he goes, and everyone falls in love with him - he's a X so not full sized, very gentle-natured, is well-trained, obedient and loves to be around whatever is going on - I've taken him in to my 16th Floor City office and the same thing happened, so that kind of tells a bit about how low maintenance he is as a doggo.

As for me, I come free with the dog(!) 🤣😊 I'm easy going, sociable and enjoy spending my free time with Coops, play golf, ice hockey and guitar when time allows. I work from home one day a week, and arrange interim dog care via madpaws service when I am out all day. I am interested in music, I don't mind a beer and can get along with pretty much anyone - main thing for me is that any prospective house would need access to a garden for Cooper whilst I am at work.

I've been a landlord myself now for >3 years at a fairly unique lifestyle acreage property, so I understand that tenants come in all sorts of shapes sizes and good fits - if my circumstaces sound like they can work at your place, please feel free to get in touch with me (and Coops) and I'd be happy to say hello. As above, I have 2 months to get something in place, but sooner the better from my perspective - thanks 🙏👍😎
