Hey there roomie :)
I hope you love animals! If not, please look elsewhere.
I have been living with my beautiful animals in a 5 bedroom house in Ed Park for the last few years, and now the owner wants to move his family in, so I must find somewhere else.
I have 3 gorgeous kitties and 8 lovely pythons.
I am a very compassionate and non judgemental person, I am vegan and love animals more than anything. All genders, orientations, races, situations etc are welcome. I am a queer SW myself so you must also be non judgemental LOL.
I am EXTREMELY clean; to the point my home looks like a show room. You're allowed to be messy, mess doesn't distress me, I just really enjoy cleaning and homemaking.
Litter boxes are sorted 3x every day, and snake tanks are cleaned in a timely manner, so my house has NO animal smell. I am a smoker, and have never had a house smell or get damaged from this, as I am very clean and there is no dust in my house for smoke to stick to. I spend almost no time in my living room, preferring to be in my office at my PC, so the living room would mostly be yours.
I am hoping to "team up" with someone/s suitable to find a new place around South West Sydney. My budget is ~500/week but that is flexible for the perfect situation. Seeking someone with budget of ~250+ so we can get somewhere amazing! I currently pay 800 for my house.
You must be reliable, a good communicator, safe, not discriminatory and sweet with my kitties. Whatever else you have going on I can work with! Fingers crossed you are vegan, or at least open to minimising having flesh in the house. I can live with it begrudgingly, and may require notice before you cook flesh so I can avoid the smell. Obviously my cats and snakes are on all meat diets, but the smell of cooking flesh nauseates me.
Of course your pets will be welcome if they exist- but we would have to make sure your animals don't clash with mine. Eg/ a dog that really hates cats mightn't work, nor would pet rats - as my snakes would smell the rats and be in hunting mode all the time.
I really want a dog rn so if you have a dog that is used to cats, that is a bonus in my book!
My requirements:
- 2 to 3 bedrooms for my work and animals, 3 is ideal unless one of the bedrooms is huge enough to set up a work space, too.
-Large living area with place for snake enclosures
-Alot of big windows/ventilation
-Air conditioning at least in bedrooms so I can work from home and deal with my night sweats.
-Large pantry
-Dishwasher to facilitate the cleaning of cat food bowls and toys, I go through 9 bowls per day and wash their food toys frequently. I simply do not have time to wash everything by hand.
-No carpet would be AMAZING, I absolutely hate carpet, as it cannot be washed without a machine or ALOT of work. Myself and one kitty have a dust allergy. I can live with carpet if I must though.
Preferred area:
I do not care very much about location. In fact I would rather live in a cheaper, more inconvenient location in exchange for more house space.
I've done some research, and it looks like Canley Vale / Carramar area is quite reasonable, and very close to my exotic vet. Anywhere close-ish is fine by me, but ideally Edmonson Park or Canley Vale would be my choice. I am open to discuss this with you!
If this all sounds good to you, hit me up and let's meet for a coffee! If we both feel safe doing so, you can come check out my current house to see how I live and some adorable animals :)
