Hi, I’m Georgia! I’m making the move from Norfolk Island to Perth, arriving after a wedding on the Sunshine Coast (8–10 May).
For me, home is a calm but happy space — somewhere to unwind after a busy day, but still feel connected. I’m someone who enjoys the little rituals: opening the windows in the morning, letting fresh air in, lighting some incense or Palo Santo, and keeping the space clean and tidy so it feels good to come home to.
I love cooking (food is definitely my love language), so you can expect the occasional homemade treat left in the fridge or shared dinners here and there.
This move feels like a big adventure — I’ve been living on Norfolk Island (a tiny 8x5km island with about 2,000 people) for the past 6 years, so Perth will be a completely new chapter for me. I’m excited to explore, try new things, and build a life from scratch — although I’ll admit that part is a little intimidating too.
I’m looking forward to creating a routine and getting to know the area. I enjoy staying active — gym sessions, Pilates or breathwork classes — and I’m very drawn to the ocean, beach days, and anything outdoors (bonus points for a BBQ by the water).
Work-wise, I’ll initially be working remotely for a Far North Queensland council (I previously worked as an Executive Assistant), while I get myself set up to move into FIFO site admin.
I’d describe myself as emotionally intelligent, considerate, and easy to live with. I value open communication, respect people’s space, and also enjoy building genuine connections with the people I live with. It might take me a little time to settle in, but once I do, my cheeky and playful side definitely comes out.
I’m really looking for a home — not just a room — with good energy, kind people, and a shared sense of respect.
