Sacha

Hello my name is Sacha (47yr), my (14yr) daughter Ellie and I are looking for a room to share with an ensuite or a granny flat, studio or 2 bedrooms with our own bathroom if budget permits, which would be around $400 per week.

We are both kind, respectful and tidy humans with a love of all things creative. We are looking for a home that is queer & gender diverse friendly, a safe and inclusive space for the young and young at heart.

We have moved from North QLD to NSW for a fresh start but have found ACT aligns with our values and lifestyle better. We are in the Snowy Valleys at the moment but would like to live in Canberra, particularly in the Lyneham area or surrounds for high school (but also open to other areas). I am not currently working (due to the move) but have a steady income, and will be looking for work within the Arts and/or Disability, once we are settled in a home.

We are a both a little quirky and happy to have a chat or a deeper conversation from time to time but we also enjoy our own space and respectful of others too. When we are at home we are more board games, cuddles with kittens, watch movies and art type people than party people. We also love exploring and immersing in nature.

Although Ellie is a teenager she is wise beyond her years and an easy human to get along with. She can be a little shy to begin with but very open once you get to know her. She loves animals, nature and cups of tea and enjoys creating digital soundscapes, she is a beautiful writer and performer and like me dabbles in all kinds of art. She is clean and tidy and happy to help out if needed. She has grown up in very diverse and inclusive spaces and has a loving and supportive nature towards people and beings of all kinds.

I am a warm motherly figure who values kindness, communication and being a good human. I have raised 4 children over the past 30 years and ready to focus on my own future now. I have worked in the disability arts theatre sector for the past 7 years creating new work as a disabled writer/director/performer and looking forward to continue on that path. I am a clean and tidy person, love to cook and very friendly and easy to get along with.

We are hoping to find a healthy home environment that is respectful, kind and inclusive. We would prefer to be in a substance free household but open and accepting of medicinal usage and occasional responsible use of alcohol.

We also love animals and open to living with them and pet sitting if ever needed.

We are looking for a home as soon as possible though we may take up to a week to wrap up where we are now and make it to Canberra.
