Creative professional and coach recently moved to Canberra and looking for a share house with character (people and house). Working full time on a government contract and studying design in my spare time. Lots of experience living in share houses and contributing to a positive, respectful and attractive space. Enjoy a glass of wine and chat after work or on weekends. Like to cook and share meals when the timing works. A large room with a nice outlook would suit me best to fit a queen sized bed, dresser and desk, or a small room and access to study/studio space. I have a beautiful 8 seater dining table and chairs if there is room, plus a coffee machine and some great kitchenware. Will consider a semi-rural property as I enjoy peace and nature. Still pretty social though. If you have dogs count me out because I have allergies. Cats, chooks, rabbits etc are a bonus.
I'm a final year philosophy student at ANU. When I'm not reading, I'm usually cooking, practicing yoga or going for walks. I'm considerate, open-minded and pretty laid back. I've lived with other housemates before, so am aware of what makes a good (or bad) one. I am clean (but not pedantic about it), respectful of my housemates' space and things, social but not ~too~ social. I'm not averse to conflict, so if there is an issue, I'd rather bring it up and talk about it than passive-aggressively leave food bits in the sink. I love discussing good books, films, music, ideas, anime etc. Saying that, I cannot resist a good tv binge. I'm also a sucker for the great British bake off, or any cooking show really. My perfect Sunday morning involves great coffee, a blueberry muffin, and a lovely stroll at a market. I'm looking for a warm and cozy share house with like-minded people that I can share a meal and good conversations with, but also respects each others' need for tranquility and privacy. It's important to me to be able to get along well with the people I live with, and not live in a house of strangers. I am also trying to be more environmentally conscious so ideally would like to find housemates that are as well. If you're not, I won't impose my views on you, but will probably bring it up once. My move date and budget are quite flexible so we can discuss that if that is a concern. I'm moving out of a one bedroom apartment, so I have a sofa, coffee table, microwave, fridge, a dining table and other household stuff that I can contribute to the house if necessary. If not, I’ll sell them. I don't have social media, so if there's anything else you'd like to know about me (or just to see if we'd be a good fit for each other), I'd be more than happy to meet up for a chat :-)
Hey, I'm Jacob! I am a 27-year-old male looking for a share place in Canberra. I am easy going, social but also enjoy my own time. I also consider myself responsible and clean. It is a little strange writing about myself - but I would love to meet you and discuss the possibility of sharing something cool. In a nutshell: I am a full time public servant - who enjoys soccer, music, movie nights, gaming, board games and hummus. Seriously hummus is really nice. Not overly phased about the location and i am flexible with a commencement date.
I am quite sociable and easy to get along with, also love my sports and am currently doing undergraduate studies (International Relations) at ANU. Ideally (but not a priority) somewhere near ANU or in the Civic area would be awesome!
I'm a 28yr old male recently moved down from the Gold Coast for work, I'll be working 5-6 days a week long hours and won't be there much. Clean and tidy and will look after your place as if it were my own. Will ideally be looking for own room and own bathroom as I prefer to have my own space. I live a active lifestyle thru work and the beach and I like to play golf and go for a skate. Won't have any furniture with me just linen and clothes so looking for a furnished room if possible. Thank you Ps. Also only looking to move in with one other person or couple.
My name is Ahmed Mohammed, I'm 31 years old. I work as an assistant lecturer at my home University in Egypt. In the same time I'm an international PhD student at ANU, I study molecular biology at JCSMR. I'm a very quiet, clean, non smoking and tidy person. Currently, I live in Dickson and l'm in an urgent need for a long term accommodation close to my work place.
I am relocating from Sydney to Canberra to study post grad Law at the ANU. I am clean, organised and sociable. Would be willing to live in a social house or keep to myself. I will be studying Law and working part-time so will be very busy. Let me know if you have anything suitable :)
I am a very tidy and quiet housemate. I like my peace and quiet but I won't mind hanging out occasionally. I buy my own food and supplies. I work weekdays from 8:30am to 5:30pm, and when I come home I enjoy just playing video games, drawing or browsing the web. I tend to spend weekends hanging out at my girlfriend's place, but I would like to have her over some days as well.
I am in between homes as have sold my house in the country and am moving to Canberra to be with my family. I am very tidy and clean and will help around the house and garden. My profession is early childhood educator and I am very caring and kind. I have a regular income from my self funded pension but will get work for two or three days.
I'm currently working full-time for Department of Defence and am moving back to Canberra with work around mid-August. Originally from Sydney but have been moving around. I'm easy going and social, but do enjoy time to relax by myself. I definitely appreciate keeping a clean living space and considerate of others belongings. Love my sport and pretty keen to keep exploring the wider Canberra region.
Hi guys. I'm a FT Technical Writer working on cyber security for the AFP on a 12-month plus contract. I need a place ideally within walking distance of the AFP where I can rest my head and park my things. I'm from Melbourne so most weekends and for the occasional week or so I'll be flying home. I'm really easy to live with, uber tidy, like to socialise but also love my own space, love a glass of red and a chat, like Netflix and am well travelled (over 65 countries and counting) so I can recount many interesting travel stories and experiences if this is your thing. I'm fit, active, ride a bike and 59 years old. If this sounds like a fit, give me a ring or alternatively send me a message through Flatmates. Cheers, Rick
I'm 25 and moving to Canberra from Perth. I like downtime on weeknights and enjoy walking or riding to keep fit, eating pasta and Japanese food. Happy to provide furniture and a Dyson vacuum cleaner for the house :) Would be ideal to be able to walk to parliament house for work.
Hello! My name is Lachy and I’m a 19 year old born and bred Canberran who is looking for a room in an amazing share house for the next 6 months before I depart Canberra for university studies in another city next year! Right now while living in Canberra, I’m working for Apple as a full time specialist.
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Full-time postgraduate student and part-time bartender. Studying a medical degree so I tend to spend most of my time nerding out in my room, but I am also a big fan of good food and would love to chat over a shared meal. Ideally looking for people with an equally busy/professional lifestyle but who also wouldn't mind a chill weekend barbecue or cheeky weekday wine and cheese night.
I am easy going and tidy especially in common areas and respectful of others space and belongings. I love cooking and enjoy a shared meal, glass of wine or cup of tea but also happy to keep to myself. I enjoy music in all its forms - live and on the turntable are my favourites though. I enjoy politics, current affairs and just generally chatting. I am active, love the outdoors and am eco-friendly. I have two pets - a small dog who is 11 and an inside cat who is 8. They also come with an industrial strength Dyson! Both are house-trained, loveable and very social. PSA: I love trash TV but wont subject unwilling victims.
