I am currently studying at the University of Canberra while also working fulltime. I am looking for a place to live with housemates that would be happy to be more than just people I live with who love animals as I am currently living in a situation where I am not allowed to have pets, and I plan on getting a puppy in the next 6 months. I am originally from Wagga so only know people in Canberra that I have met at uni or work and would love to make some more friends here. I would ideally like bills to be included within the rent. Would love to hear from you if you think we would be a good fit :)
Hey I’m max I moved out of an abusive environment when I was 16 and never looked back, I really want to finish yr 12 at dickson colledge but won’t be able to unless I can find long term accommodation. I’m trying not to stress but i only have til the 23 to move out and nobody is replying which means I will end up homeless again. I was staying with some really nice people but they are moving out of state in two weeks so house has become unavailable, so as soon as a place is available I would move in immediately. I have a job at a wearhouse and work as much as I can. I’m a clean, consider others and hope you can look past the fact I’m 17.
Hi, I'm a 24-year-old student from Germany and I'm coming to Canberra from the end of June until the end of September for an internship. After four years of living in shared accommodations, I have become an experienced flatmate. During my time in Canberra, I will work full-time but I would also like to travel on the weekends and meet new people from Australia and around the world! Besides traveling, my hobbies include Thai boxing, handball and photography.
Hi, I am a Sri Lankan and a current PhD Student at ANU. I am very social, fun-loving and willing to make new friends. And, more importantly, I would say I am too clean and tidy. I love cooking and also enjoy cleaning and housework. I am looking for a room in a house, preferably close to the university with no pets. Thank you.
Mid 30's professional, from Melbourne moving to Canberra for a position within the APS. Will be heading back to Victoria every other weekend where my family is based. Enjoy coffee, beer, cycling and swimming. I consider myself to be neat and tidy and respectful of others privacy. Looking to secure a place with either male or female housemates somewhere central.
Hello, I am Helen, 25 yrs old female. I have experience on sharing house for more than five years. I have been living overseas since I was 18 so I know how to deal with people and make living arrangement pleasant. My hobby is simple: jogging, bushwalking, cycling and cooking and I would definitely clean-as-I-cook. I would tidy up our common area and team work would be appreciated :) I don't smoke, party or do those exciting stuff. I like to chat with my room mate but I also respect your privacy. I like to read, studying my random interest in astronomy and ethic or play ukulele not too often that I will play in my room and definitely shut it up if you are bothered by it :) Currently working full time in Sydney and looking forward to move in Canberra in early April or middle of April as I have job interview lining up during that month. I am also would be coming back and forth in SYD-CAN as I still keeping my job. You might see me rarely at home in April. maybe that's a good thing as I will still pay the rent! Looking for 1 to 6 months contract :) if I like your home I might extend the lease.
Hi there! I recently arrived in Canberra to work for the public service. I work for the ACT revenue office - and no I'm not an accountant, even more boring actually, I work in IT. I'm one of those strange people (according to my facebook feed at least) that is in their mid thirties and isn't married with kids - I don't even own a single piece of furniture! The last 6 months before this I lived in South America (Peru) and before that in Darwin (I have some stories to tell!) and before that almost a decade in Toronto, Canada. I'm a very respectful person, both in terms of boundaries, cleanliness, attitudes and everything else involved in being a mature adult. I've lived in many share house situations before so I know the deal, I clean up after myself and don't need to be reminded of basic things - if I see something needs doing I quietly take care of it with no drama. I'm a very friendly social being but I do also enjoy my quiet time, my job is pretty full on so in the evenings you might find me chilling in my room listening to music/meditating - though having said that I also enjoy chatting and watching a show! I really enjoy hiking and travelling around to new places, so if you're up for some adventures I'm in as well! I have an instagram account (cezaryr), where you can see some pictures of myself as well as some of my adventures.
My boyfriend and I are French students. We do our internship in CSIRO so we need to be near there. I am a good cooker, I can make some French food. We are curious and we can't wait to discover this city.
I’m a friendly, fun and mature person who’s clean and tidy and always up for a natter as well as respecting everyone’s privacy in times of need. I can play a few musical instruments and like my chill out time. I’m always on top of the housework and don’t mind getting stuck in when required. I’m originally from Manchester, England but have lived in Australia for 10 years now. I like to socialise and meet new people and have a few drinks and a laugh, nothing overboard. Would love to meet some likeminded people to philosophise with and chew the fat.
I'm an easy going 23 year old who is currently working full time at the War Memorial. I like watching TV, playing games, cooking and traveling. I'm clean, but not obsessively so and will pull my weight in taking care of a place. I love to have a chat about anything, but I also need some time to myself and respect a roommate's privacy. I'm looking for a roommate that is reasonably social, tidy and is interested in sharing a meal or a drink from time to time.
I am a 21 year old student from Newcastle with a Netflix Subscription. I'm looking for a place to call home while I complete my International Business degree at ANU. I work a full time job trading commodities so I keep pretty busy. Most of my free time at the gym or playing games. I speak 5 languages and I am learning Arabic in Uni. I'm not a loud person and I don't drink or smoke. I am a car nut and own an Audi RS6 that I love more than most relatives. As such it pains me to park it on the street, underground parking would be ideal. I'd prefer to move into a place as soon as possible but I'm down to team up and get a place with some other people.
We're two sisters (co-dependent) who are looking to join a sharehouse or start our own from scratch. We're looking near city, in Watson sort of suburbs. We come with a fat, elderly golden retriever who loves attention and doesnt like walks. We also come with an adorable little cat, who chooses favorites (it's not personal). We work in hospitality, as well as disability needs. Open-minded and healthy, we love meditation and yoga and vegetables. Hear from you soon :)
My partner and I are responsible young adults looking to move out for the first time. We are both recent graduates from Lake Tuggeranong College. Ben has a full time job and I am currently studying at CIT 4 days a week. We are tidy, non-smokers and we are more than happy to be social with flatmates. I don’t tend to login to this website very much and I don’t pay for it so if you’d like to team up and start a new sharehouse or if you think you have the perfect house for Ben and I, please message me and I'll give you my number. Thanks everyone!
I work full time nightfill and during my down time I like to play video games, read or watch movies. I keep to myself mostly, but I am willing to socialise when the occasion arises. I am always considerate of others and their privacy. I have a 13 yr old son who visits me most weekends and usually stays over Saturday nights.
Rania (in the picture) is studying psychology at uc, and works casually in a restaurant. Chloe is studying a bachelor of arts at ANU, majoring in human rights and international relations. Our current lease has just finished (as of March 20th), so we're looking for 1-2 new housemates and a new home! We're looking for a tidy, left-leaning, vegan/vego friendly home within short driving distance from both unis. We're both respectful, friendly people, and excited to meet our new potential roomies:) - LGBTQI+ friendly
