Hi there,

I'm a 39 year old science communicator. I've been living in Melbourne for the past 13 years, but a new job opportunity at UNSW has brought be back to Sydney.

I'm a big active and outdoor person - you'd regularly find me snorkelling, hiking, at the gym or going for a run. At home I'm more of a quiet person, relaxing, reading or playing video games.

I'm clean and tidy and love cooking and good food and having a good chat with friends.

Because this job is initially for a contract of 12 months, my wife would stay in Melbourne but would come to Sydney occasionally to visit.

A good flatmate to me is somebody who is respectful, clean and tidy and a good communicator.

I'm looking for somebody who is sociable but also super happy doing their own thing.

I don't mind if somebody is an early bird or a night owl (I'm more in the early bird category) so long as our preferences don't disrupt each others peace and quiet.

I'm super comfortable with having people come and visit the home for a chat or a dinner etc. but I'd prefer to avoid having people over for parties.

I've travelled a lot so enjoy living with all sorts of people. Happy to have shared meals on occasion or do our own thing. I'm pretty flexible and easy going like that.

I'd also be looking for somebody who is neat and tidy in any shared spaces - I want to feel like the home is a place of comfort and relaxation.
