hey everyone, i'm arriving in melbourne the 09. february 2026 and to get started in australia my plan is to find a car and look for work opportunities and meet like minded people.
After settling for a bit my basic idea is to explore down under by going with the flow and seeing where the opportunities take me while beeing on the lookout for sailing opportunities to south east asia (most likely indonesia) or any other directions and use this to start my long way home to germany.

for my time in melbourne i would enjoy and shared living situation and don't have high standards except basic hygene and working sanitary situation.
I lived in many shared flats/houses/ a van / from my backpack in hammocks so i'm adaptable and easy going.
I like cooking and especially if its not only for me but the community around me :)

I have no idea which suburbs are a good choice or how melbourne is as a city in general so feel free to ignore the suburbs i had to mark here as they are just from a 1 sec google search.
