A bit about me:

33 year old male. 169cm, Italian and French/Greek Parents. Have dark facial features. Non religious but respectful, never smoked in my life, I do have alcohol but its mainly for cooking on the rare times my friends want me to bake a cake for birthdays or celebrations. Otherwise I don’t drink at all. No drugs and never done them. Finished secondary school (year 12) in 2010. Further education includes commercial cookery apprenticeship, Gaming licence and RSA, Certificate 3 in Investigative services (with current approval and licensing from Victoria Police to practice Private Investigate work), Certificate 4 in Science and a Bachelor of science (Geology). I have a few tickets as well like a forklift license and other things.

Work and income:

Currently receiving a Disability Support Pension from centrelink. However, Plans to open up a shop in Olinda. Hopefully collecting the keys somewhere between late February and late March depending on when the current tenant leaves and makes good on the premises. Previous work includes working as a private investigator from 2017 - 2025 (I have 2 open cases left and am waiting for them to resolve). Worked as a chef after high school and while doing my studies I had a job as a law clark with random hospitality jobs or retail jobs in-between for extra money. Iv done some volunteering work with Thorne harbour visiting elderly people for social engagement and also with Raise Foundation which is mentoring program for young secondary school students that need a bit of support (had 2 placements in 2025 at Hampton Park SC and Mordialloc SC). Iv also worked in print manufacturing industries.

Im currently on a Disability Payment from Centrelink because of a medical condition and regrettably an unstable family stuff is adding to my circumstances at the moment. My current circumstance is that I separated from my husband last year and moved in with my dad who hates me because im gay. Staying at his place is getting more and more challenging. Sorry to drop drama, im just trying to be open and honest to, hopefully a perspective person to lease from.

Hobbys: Reading, Cooking, Building stuff (mostly hobby kits but branching out. Like walks in lush green environments, helping and spending time with people, my little dog luna (Westie, ill write more below), Sci fy fantasy themed books and video games, comedy and making people laugh, arcades, gym (running, swimming and resistance work), driving and volunteering when I have time, I watch Tv shows to wind down at night and like spending time with my little dog.

Personality:

Mostly upbeat and positive, if im not im just sort of neutral and it’s generally really early in the morning before coffee or after 7pm I sort of crash as I like to keep busy all day. Iv been told im an industrious person who is kind and caring. People say that Im easy to talk with and very helpful. I get told that I know a lot. I love learning and trying new things, enjoy feeding people and spending time outdoors. Im good with surface level conversations but can also have deeper level conversations. However, I dislike conversations about politics and religion. If it happens I generally will only try and be amicable and politely try to move conversation away from the topic without trying to cause offence. I try and think of others needs a great deal and have 2 very close and wonderfully supportive friends.

Me in the house:

Im used to thinking about fair use of utilities. For example, I know can get very cold (I actually like that haha…) but im not likely to turn on a heater for just me if im the only one in the house. I can just put more clothes on if im cold. Summers im okay with the heat. Again same rule with any air conditioner, im not likely to use it for just me in the house. However, I do like the cold so im happy to pay more for power if I can use the aircon more. I have a pensioners concession card as well and I think I can nominate an account (not in my name) to get my discount but id have to check.

Cleaning wise I’ll clean periodically when im bored and clean certain things (like bathrooms) once or twice a week. A cleaning challenge for me is looking after bins if people don’t keep them clean. Otherwise I think im pretty good. Any issues just let me know.

Im likely to cook for people… I don’t want any money. I’ll just offer. Or make extra. You should say yes, it will make me happy.

I think a new thing I’ll have to learn is looking after the garden. I can start slow and google things but it be nice to know if you need any help with that.

About my dog Luna:

Luna is a Westie, 12 year old and desexed female. She mainly stays inside and is house trained. She follows me around everywhere and will most likely come to work with me every day when I have the shop. Luna knows basic commands like “sit down”, “lay down” and “stay”. Luna stays in my room with me at night and has her own bed.

Luna can’t eat corn, rice or dairy products as they give her stomach issues. She has her kibble that I feed her and has a good routine. I feed her as soon as im up and take her out. I always clean up after Luna. Luna needs to go outside again at about 1:30-3pm and then again after her dinner. I anticipate when I move she will have a bit of anxiety as she always does with moving house. However, I have a behaviour management plan for her that works really well. I should see big results within 2 days and 1-2 weeks later she will adjust completely. I like to be the only one to look after Luna. This includes feeding, hair and nail cuts and training. Regarding training she is very happy and social dog that likes people. She is likely to jump on you legs and say hi to you unless you don’t set proper boundaries like telling her “no” and “down”. After 2 or 3 days she learns that you don’t like that behaviour. It would be much appreciated if im a future housemates that others give her “no” or “down” commands as I can’t change Lunas personality.
