Hello! 🇦🇺 🩷
My name is Ailie Gray, and I am a 20-year-old student from Scotland. I will be relocating to Perth with my partner, Jake, as part of an academic exchange between the University of Glasgow and the University of Western Australia, which will run until July 2027. This opportunity represents a significant academic and personal milestone, and we are therefore keen to ensure that our accommodation arrangements are secure and well-organised in advance of our arrival.
From a financial perspective, we are both in stable employment in the United Kingdom and can provide comprehensive evidence of income and reliability. I have been employed as a swimming teacher since July 2024, and I am also able to provide references from previous roles in both the UK and the United States. Jake similarly has an extensive employment history, with referees from roles in childcare, retail, and construction in the UK and the United States. He also has secured employment in Perth commencing in July. This provides an additional level of financial continuity upon our arrival.
In addition, I can provide a strong landlord reference from my previous tenancy in Glasgow’s West End (September 2024 – January 2026), which reflects our reliability, respect for property, and consistency as tenants.
We approach this relocation with a high degree of organisation and responsibility, and we are particularly keen to secure a property prior to arrival. While we retain some flexibility, we are ideally aiming to move in approximately two weeks before my university start date on 22nd July.
As we are currently based in the UK, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend virtual viewings via Teams, WhatsApp, or a similar platform, and are happy to accommodate different time zones where necessary.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if there are any suitable properties available, or if further documentation would assist in progressing our application.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Ailie Gray
