Hey, I'm Malte, 26 years old and originally from Germany.
I'm looking for a new flat where I can feel at home, as I'm new to Australia. Starting in March, I'll be a PhD student at Curtin University in the field of geology. So I'll be very busy with my research for the next 3 years. I'll be funded by the university, so no worries about rent.
I am a non-smoker and a very open and easy-going person. I love board games and pen & paper, and I much prefer meeting up with friends rather than going to parties. When I'm not in the lab or need some relaxation, I often spend time outdoors in nature.
Of course, everyone needs their privacy, especially now during my PhD, I respect that home is a peaceful place to relax. Additionally, I would still enjoy doing a few activities together sometimes, e.g. cooking, going to the beach, hiking or whatever. In the flat, I am of course respectful of others and keep things clean.
A room with a bed and a desk would be great, as I will just arrive from Germany and have nothing but my suitcase. And, of course, I would love to have lovely flatmates who would be willing to chat or do things together from time to time.
If you have a room and think I would be a good fit as a flatmate, please feel free to contact me. As I am still in Germany, I am unable to visit in person, but I am always available for a video call to get to know each other. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask :)
(my max is AUD 350 per week including bills)
