Hey! I’m looking to team up with someone to find a place around Freshwater, Curl Curl, Queenscliff, Fairlight or Balgowlah. My budget is around $700 per week. Flexible move in date.

I’ve been on the hunt for a one-bedder for me and my 5-year-old kelpie, but finding somewhere suitable for both of us is proving a little tricky. I’m keen to stay at the lower end of the beaches to be closer to work, so I thought I’d see if there’s anyone looking to combine budgets and find somewhere with a bit more room. I’d love to find a place with a courtyard, large balcony or multiple outdoor spaces so Huey and I aren’t living on top of a future housemate.

I work full-time as a teacher. Outside of work, I’m usually walking the dog, catching up with friends, heading to gigs or out and about on the weekends. I’m home most weeknights and love the idea of living with someone I can have the occasional wine and chat with, while also very much appreciating our own space.

Huey is a very lovable and well-trained kelpie who loves people and firmly believes he is the king of any house he lives in. Unfortunately, he does not extend this same warmth to other animals, so it would most likely need to be a one-pet household. You definitely need to be a dog person because Huey believes every arrival home deserves a full celebration.

I already have everything needed to furnish a one-bedroom unit, so have plenty of furniture and household bits to contribute.

Ideally looking for one other single housemate who’s laid-back, friendly and keen to find a nice, spacious place. I’m also hoping to find someone looking to settle somewhere a little more long term. If this sounds like it could suit you, send me a message!
