Looking for a Housemate
Hi, I am Kim (female), 22 years old, and I recently moved to the Gold Coast from Switzerland, and I am currently looking for a housemate.
A little about myself, so you can create a picture of whom you would be living with: I am a student at Griffith University, and I study Psychological Science and Criminology and Criminal Justice. If I am not studying, you will probably catch me doing some kind of sports — I mainly run, cycle, swim, and go to the gym, but I enjoy long walks along the beach as well as yoga or pilates — an active lifestyle is very important to me! I also love to read and cook.
I am pretty independent and do enjoy my alone time, but I am definitely not looking for a house where everyone just lives next to each other without ever talking! I would love to have a social and friendly household, where we can have meals together, maybe do sports together, and hang out and explore out the Gold Coast.
I am a clean and tidy person (not a neat freak, though!), respectful towards other people’s privacy, space, and routines, and obviously I would expect the same from the person I would be living with. We would certainly find some kind of cleaning/chores arrangement, but all with good humour and absolutely stress-free! One important thing, however, is that since I am not a big party and going-out type of person and live an active life, I would ideally have someone with the same mindset — early nights and early mornings. This, however, does not mean that you cannot have friends over — as I am new to the Gold Coast, I am open to meeting new people!
I am keen on living somewhere around either Broadbeach, Mermaid, Miami, or Burleigh. The total rent amount per week would be somewhere between $750 and $850 and most certainly would be split evenly between the two of us. I am looking for a place to move into as soon as possible, but I would love to get to know you a little before we decide on a place together. I think it’s much nicer when you actually enjoy living with the people you share a home with!
