I'm a 29-year-old guy who's retired and enjoys gaming, bowling, and arcades. I prefer a homestay and receive a substantial amount of NDIA supports for support with ensuring the property stays clean, meeting tenacity obligations, etc.
I’m seeking an Individualised Living Options (ILO) arrangement where a host (who lives in the house) would provide support and be funded from my NDIS plan for it. I’ve been approved ILO Stage 1 and instructed to do up a plan showing level 3 stage 2 (approx. $240,000/year) is necessary.
This money would go primarily to the host who would be responsible for supports such as promoting for activities of daily life (medications, eating, showering, etc), assistance with cleaning and laundry, meal preparation (ingredients are funded separately by me), etc.
Note it’s essentially a full time job split up over the day (limited to no overnight support), but is paid very well to compensate for this fact. Any required training would be funded.
Yes budget is correct - though includes the support component. It would be invoiced and tax applicable on it.
