Hi! I'm Akaash, 20-something Aussie relocating to the UK from Perth in November for a new role as a geologist. I'll be arriving on a Youth Mobility visa and looking to settle into a good flat while I get set up.
A bit about me: I've spent the last few years doing field-based geology in remote Western Australia, so I'm used to sharing space with people and pulling my weight around a house. Outside work I'm into hiking and the outdoors, cooking (I'll happily make dinner for the flat now and then), watching sport, and finding good coffee wherever I go. I'm also planning to travel around the UK and Europe as much as I can while I'm over, so you probably won't see me every weekend.
I'm looking for a friendly, easy-going flat where housemates are happy to hang out sometimes but also respect each other's space. Tidy, respectful, and reliable with rent — I've been renting for years and can provide references from previous places or my employer.
