Hello mates! My name is Paris, 23 year-old, from China, and I am an ANU postgraduate student. I will start my language course in March, 2017 in ANU College, so I attend to Canberra in 8th March. I am looking for a private room of smoke-free house/apartment, which is near my university. I am spontaneous person, friendly and respectful. I like writing and sharing country music (sometimes pop), playing guitar and piano, doing sports and reading. I‘d like my room cleaned, and I would love to sanitize public area with my housemates. Would you mind to share your lovely house/apartment with me? If you want to know something more of me, please feel free to contact me send message directly. Thank you and I am looking forward to hear from you. Best wishes, Paris
Starting from March 14, 2017, I will be a full time postgraduate student at ANU. Well, I was born, raised, educated and challenged in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for my 23 years on earth. I originally wanted to keep living and challenging here in my home country, but then later became interested in traveling and learning different culture and thought it would be better to do so through thriving in a different society with diversity and appreciating a simpler way of living. Actually, I have zero experience in tenancy, but I promise to be a good tenant who will make an on time payment and will take care of your house as my own. Besides, I am not a drinker and a smoker, but a follower who will try all my best to meet the landlord's requirements.
I'm easy going and like to get along with people. I'm looking for housemates that are comfortable having a chat and a beverage at the end of the day but don't need to be living completely in each others space all the time. I like Netflix nights, pub nights, BBQ's and spontaneous house family dinners. I'm tidy but not a neat freak and happy to pitch in wherever needed around the house. Most of my old housemates are now my good friends and I'm looking to continue the tradition :)
Spacious master bedroom with built in wardrobe available in a beautiful 3 bedroom house in Curtin, Woden. The house is fully furnished and has all the basic amenities including high speed internet, TV connection, and gas heating. 10 minute walk to the main bus stop and a 15 minute bus ride to the civic bus depot. Room rent is $181 per week. Gas, electricity and internet charges are split among the residents. Please PM for any additional details. PS. The room is unfurnished at the moment but there is a spare bed, mattress, table and chair in the garage that could be used free of charge.
I'm a South Australian Librarian, recently moved to Canberra and am working for Federal Government. I stick to my room and am a considerate, and clean housemate. I'm a musician and a gamer, however I won't play music loudly unless you're not home. I don't eat meat. I have the most beautiful, gentle and sweet adult cat, who is impeccably trained and thus is easy to live with. I love coffee and do enjoy a drink, but I don't host any parties. I'm serious about having a place with good internet, air conditioning and heating. Importantly, I'm willing to do all the ground work to find a pet friendly house that isn't too far from Civic. Ideally I am looking for a housemate that is around my own age or older. If you feel like we'd work as housemates, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Hi there, I am a full time public servant, moved down to Canberra about 2 years ago for work from Sydney. I am currently living in the inner north and love the area! I'm looking to move around mid-April and would love to find one or two chill people to find a place together. I love to exercise and get outdoors but also love chilling out at home and going out with friends. I respect others' privacy and want housemates who will respect mine but are equally happy to have a glass of wine and a chat at the end of the day! I also have a 19 year old cat. I have quite a few household items/furnishings - fridge, washing machine, TV, entertainment unit, storage unit, portable island bench with stools, microwave, kettle plus lots of kitchenware. Would be awesome to find someone with a couch and perhaps a dining table. Message me if you think we'd make a good team!
I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney to work (full-time) at ANU for a year, beginning early March. I'm originally from Melbourne, and have lived in a couple of sharehouses. I'm pretty easy going and always keep communal areas tidy. I generally prefer to keep to myself but don't mind being social. I have a bunch of kitchenware and a tv, but unfortunately I've sold all my appliances. I'm hoping to share with just one, possibly two, other people.
The bus stop is just 1-2 minutes walk away with a direct route to City/ANU in 12 to 20 minutes. Also, alternate bus routes are available in bus stops nearby. What are the nearest landmarks? a.Watson shops - Supabarn, Pharmacy, AusPost, Coffee shop and Restaurant (12 mins. walk or 2 mins. by Bus) b. Exhibition Park (EPIC) - Farmer's market and other weekly markets, well-known events occasionally (2-3 mins. walk) c. Dickson Shops - Library, Bank, AusPost, Woolworths, Asian shops, restaurants and cafe (5 mins. by Bus or 12 mins. by bicycle) d. Australian Catholic University - 8-10 minutes by bike The house is located between bus route to Canberra Centre and Gungahlin. The house has two bedroom, a kitchen, living area, toilet, shower and two balconies. It is fully equipped with furniture, appliances and all other household needs. We are leaving to Sydney, so you can have the place for yourselves or you can rent the other room to flat sharing. The room is furnished with lots of natural light, bed, table and built-in wardrobe. Private indoor parking available for one vehicle and several outdoor parking for everyone (first come -first serve basis). On-street parking is allowed in the evening. Pool area and clubhouse is available to all residents. The tennis court, clubhouse, BBQ area and pool is in front of the house, and are free of use for the residents and their guests. Woolworths convenience store and Mcdonald's in the nearby gas station (2-3 min walk). Just bring your suitcase and you can enjoy a sweet home. We are advertising this to help our landlord in finding new tenant. He is very helpful and took good care during our stay, so we want to advertise for him.
Hi there, I'm a working professional looking for someone to move in to the spare room in my apartment. I'm looking for someone to share with who is clean and tidy and preferably working or studying full time. Sorry, no pets, no drugs. The room is listed as available for another 6 months; however that's more of a guide, it may be longer. I'm looking at buying a new apartment later this year so it really depends on when that happens. The bedroom itself is a carpeted room that overlooks the Lyneham wetlands. The bedroom comes with a built in wardrobe as well as hallway wardrobe space. You will have a private bathroom and shower (though this room also contains the dryer and washing machine). The apartment is in a new complex on the first floor and has a balcony. The apartment is fully furnished and a desk+chair and single bed mattress are available for your room. The apartment is walking distance to the Lyneham or Dickson shops and is within 100m of a bus stop. Electricity, house maintenance expenses and internet bills will be split 50-50; water is included in the apartment. There is visitor parking underground and off-street parking is about 100m away. About me: I work long hours full time and live a pretty healthy lifestyle. If you're interested, would like to know more or would like to see the room please email me with a brief description of yourself. Internet is 100GB ADSL2, $25 each per month Air conditioning Dishwasher Clothes dryer, no washing machine yet Secure underground carpark Fully equipped kitchen

Hey there! I’m Janice and here's a quick summary about me: + Currently doing a Master of Art History at ANU + I'm 30 + I was a high school teacher before + I also worked for an art gallery before + I’m from sunny Singapore + I previously lived in Tasmania for almost 2 years + Loves travelling + Definitely neat and tidy. + Energetic, friendly and sociable + Though I'm pretty quiet when I'm home in the evening + Hoping to do a PhD after my Master's, so I'd likely be geeking out quite a fair bit with my books too + Most of my food are boiled or lightly stir-fried (fuss-free cooking!) I love chai latte, pear cider, bushwalking, movies, meaningful conversations, easygoing people and a good laugh. I mostly hang out at cafes and pubs with live music - I don't party much. I absolutely love meeting people from all walks of life, regardless of one's cultural background, customs and beliefs. I am inspired by people and fascinated with diverse cultures - that’s why I’m into Art History! 😃
I am Damith, and I am a clean, considerate, and easy going person. I am starting to work in Canberra. I am moving from Sydney, and I have been living in Sydney for four years. I work full time as an Electrical Engineer. In my free time, I like to chat with my friends, read, and watch movies. I am looking for a room near Bruce, Canberra. If you have any question about me, please send me a message.
I have just returned from doing a short research course in Vietnam, and I am looking for a place to live while I complete my last year of my bachelor of development studies at ANU. I'm looking for a place close enough to uni so I can start riding again. I don’t want to live in a place where I am just renting the room. I'd prefer a place where I can have chats with my housemates but also who respect my space. I like doing yoga and hiking up mountains. Always keen for a beer or a chill netflix night.
This property is located in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood, 5 minutes from great walks and bike tracks around the Gordon lake and Tidbinbilla nature reserve. It is a fully furnished, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom accommodation. It includes a laundry with a washing machine (no dryer). There is a separate entry into the house and parking space outside the property. There is a bus stop directly opposite the house, which will take you straight to the Tuggeranong district, CBD, and universities. Bedroom 1: available - $230/wk including bills - larger sized bedroom (furnished with a double bed and bed-side tables) - large BIR with mirrors - bathroom is shared Bedroom 2: unavailable This room has been taken by a lovely female aged mid 20s who has moved to Canberra for an APS graduate position. A little bit about us: My parents will be living upstairs; mainly my mum as my dad regularly travels for work. My mum works full-time at the Department of Environment. Both my sister and I have moved out of Canberra for study/work. We will from time to time come and visit. The two floors are divided by a locked door downstairs and you will have your own separate entry, so there will be as much independence and privacy as you need. We will not be using the downstairs area at all. A little bit about you: We're looking for a female who is friendly, tidy, responsible and will respect the house as if it is their own. It's not a big party house, but it is somewhere you can relax and create a fun lifestyle. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to message me. I will provide you with my mum's contact number, as she will be the one looking after it all.
Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. The room has lovely big windows and built-in wardrobe space, and is connected to the central heating (which we use thoughtfully :). The room has a comfy double bed in it but can moved if need be. It is best inhabited by someone who is a solid sleeper as sound-proofing in the room isn't great. Current housemates are Noemi and Valeria (12) from Mexico, and Amie and Kylie from Aust. The house is large and more than comfortably accommodates all of us. Noemi is in her last year of an anthropology PhD, Valeria just started highschool, Kylie just moved here from Darwin and is also doing studies in Anthropology, and Amie works in community arts and is involved in a number of other comm'ty based projects.

I'm a very social person but love my quiet time. I'll be spending most weekends away and working full time but love to watch the telly at night after work. I love dogs if you have any! Very clean and easy going. Potentially looking for my own bathroom and a car space.
This is a large bed sitting room with its own small kitchen and private entrance. Almost everything is new. You will share a three way bathroom with one other young female and the share laundry is upstairs. Other than the bathroom and laundry your accommodation is self contained. This is a quiet location ideal for study and relaxation. We are 1 minute from the 39 bus and a short walk to the Australian Catholic University. Mount Majura Nature reserve is just outside our back gate and is great for bush walking, jogging and mountain biking.
I am a 23-year-old from Melbourne. I am moving to Canberra to work as a Speech Pathologist. Looking for a house where people are happy to chat and relax together but don't have to be around each other all the time. Also, love a chill night in with a board game!
This apartment is in a great location, central to everything. 5 mins to Cooleman Court, a short-drive to Woden, Civic, Barton/Kingston so it could suit just about anyone! It is practically a brand new place so amenities are in great condition, air conditioning and heating super-efficient. The house will be almost entirely furnished. All you will need to bring is whatever you want in your room (i.e. a bed, tv etc.). A large TV with Netflix, Playstation, Xbox, Apple TV will be in a shared living space.
