Make sure if you’re going to Monash you know whether you’re at Caulfield or Clayton, as they’re a solid 10km apart!
Griffith caters to the sporty type while Bond’s private fees will set you (or your fam) back a couple of $$. Brisbane’s unis are in some of the “coolest” suburbs of Brisbane, so head near these areas if you want to continue on the hipster vibe at home as well.

This island state might only have 1 uni but the multiple campuses around the state will cater to what you need. FYI: UTAS is high-ranking for medicine, engineering and nursing but if you’re wanting to pursue graphic design, you might have to enrol elsewhere.
If living in Adelaide CBD near uni isn’t for you, then you can always head out to the coast for that seaside life. Just remember to calculate your commute times so you don’t miss your 8:30am tute.

Darwin just has the one uni, coz that’s all you need! At $203 to live near campus, that’s a pretty great price. Bonus points if you can jag something near the beach, but you will pay a higher premium.
If you’re going to uni in Canberra, you can guarantee you’re going to get one of the best educations in the country. Due to the lack of entertainment Canberra has to offer, you won’t get distracted come exam time.
If you’re studying geology, performing arts or medicine, WA’s unis could have just what you’re after and the rent is pretty cheap!
