This is a two story townhouse located at the end of a street in a small quiet complex in Braddon. Located only a few minutes from bus stops and a light rail stop. The townhouse is fully furnished, apart from your bedroom, however there is plenty of space to add any furniture or pieces you would like to bring with you (and I'm more than happy to remove any exisiting furniture), to make you feel the place is your home. The ground floor contains an open living and dining area with a reverse air conditioner, and a laundry tucked behind folding doors. The washing machine belongs to the outgoing housemate, so I would love a new housemate who could bring a washing machine. The kitchen has all the standard appliances including a dishwasher and also has a massive (almost walk-in) pantry. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you would need, and also comes with my large collection of baking tins and odds and ends, for those with a baking inclination. There is also a guest toilet. The property has two courtyards: one at the back of the house which overlooks a large park, and one at the front which has a clothes line. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. Your room is slightly smaller with a built in robe and ensuite bathroom and is north-facing, and so gets lovely light. My current housemate fits a queen size bed, bed side table, chair and dresser in her room. The townhouse comes with two underground secure car parks, plus a storage cage. The rent is $240 a week paid fortnightly, plus 4 weeks bond. Internet is $25 a month each, and electricity is between $200-350 a quarter, which we split evenly. The new housemate will need to fill in an application form for Cream Residential, and then sign a new 12 month lease with me. The outgoing housemate will be vacating the townhouse on 31 August, so the room will be available around 5 September. Please note: I am looking for a female housemate, and not a couple. I'm a pretty relaxed and quiet person to live with, respect personal space and live a sometimes busy life, but am always down for a chat over a meal or TV show. I'm looking for a housemate who is happy to operate on a basic cleaning roster for the shared downstairs space. If the house sounds right for you, shoot me a message with any questions and tell me about yourself, and I can arrange a time for you to meet me and have a look at the house. Thanks!
Close to the city, Bus stop out front. Close to the Tram. Spacious rooms with a small front and back garden. Air conditioning. Small pets considered. Looking for someone to move in immediately to take over our current housemates part of the lease. We have 9 months left on the lease- till next April. The room available would easily fit a queen bed and a desk. nice and sunny as well. Suuuuuper close to Lonsdale Street and all of its perks- Gym, Cafes, Coffee stores and supermarkets all nearby.
I’ve been living at this address for the past 5 years and honestly cannot think of a better location in Canberra. You’ve got all the cafes and restaurant on Lonsdale St literally round the corner, Civic is a 10 minute walk down the street and there’s a big park next door. It’s also in the centre of Canberra so every other town centre is no more than 15 mins away (Belconnen, Woden, Fyshwick, etc) and 9 mins from the airport. There’s air conditioning in the living room, TV with Chromecast, good sound system, a large combined bathroom/laundry (with bath) and a pretty big balcony with a few herbs growing. The house is fully furnished and I’ve put a bit of effort into making the place homely over the last few years, but I’m always looking for new additions to match the existing furniture. The kitchens got everything you need. All the standard appliances, dishwasher, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, every spice imaginable and just bought a new slow cooker lol. I’m a very chill person to live with. I know what student/grad life is like, often you want to have dinners or pre-drinks and so having people over is completely O.K. as long as the household is respected. I cook a lot so cleanliness in the kitchen is important to me. If you’re in a relationship: congratulations 😛. Having your significant other sleep over a few times a week is obviously fine but do appreciate that this is a flat for 2 people. In the spirit of full disclosure, the room is "cozy" but comfortably fits a double/queen mattress and comes with a built-in wardrobe and a desk.
