I am looking for someone to take over my name on the lease (ends October 2020 but can be renewed) - it's a room with private bathroom in a modern apartment on Mort Street in Braddon. Rent is $272.50 per week, bond is $1060. Bills separate, but usually not very much as the apartment is well insulated. Move in date preferably between January 8-11. You would be sharing the kitchen and living room with one person (Travis, 31yo, fulltime worker). The apartment has air conditioning, dishwasher, and is fully furnished. There is a yoga studio in the same building, and you are right in the middle of Braddon with restaurants, bars, cafes etc all around. The room has a built in cupboard. You have the option of having the room unfurnished, or you can buy my bed and I'll leave it there for you. It's a nice little place, it's pretty dated but it has high ceilings, good sized rooms and little built in robes. Really the biggest drawcard is the location; we're set 2 streets back from Civic Centre so the shops, Lonsdale St, and Civic are a short walk. There's a massive yard and a shed for storage if you need it.

The bright, sunny North facing apartment is right opposite Lonsdale street entertaining precinct, great for food drink and everything else you could want. A 15 minute walk to the Canberra centre or bus station, we are less than 5 minutes from the nearest light rail stop. Doesn't get better than that!

This apartment is just incredible - and thanks to a mistake by the agent, we got it at an awesome price. For starters, it's big. It's 140m2 over two storeys, has three balconies, powerful heating/cooling, a big kitchen, lots of storage space, and an ever essential underground parking spot. It's in an amazing new building right on Lonsdale Street, which has some great cafes and shops at the ground floor (and a fancy bottle shop), and is literally minutes from as many bars/restaurants as you could want (and a 6 minute walk from the Canberra Centre). It's also a fifth floor penthouse, so there's a great view of Mt Ainslie from the balcony, and no noisy neighbours above! The room itself is on the bottom floor, near the entrance. It's about 3x3m and has a built in desk. There is a double bed available if you need one. Past the room is the kitchen, and a really long combined living / dining area, which leads out onto a big balcony overlooking Lonsdale St and Mt Ainslie. On the second floor are our two bedrooms, with the shared bathroom, which has a shower and a bath, and a guest bathroom (toilet, sink - and partitioned laundry). Most of the photos loaded here are from the initial listing, but the apartment is now fully furnished, with a TV with netflix and stan, a leather couch, dining table, vintage travel posters and all the kitchenware you could need.
