One room is available with flexible move-in dates but preferably on the weekend of 21-22 February.
We are looking for someone to stay for 6 to 12 months or more, with an opportunity to join on the lease in January 2027.
Noting that we have not had a chance to upload pictures of the final, furnished and decorated rooms, as we are still working through the logistics and unpacking from the very recent move, and we will endeavour to do this as soon as possible.
Drop us a line to tell us a little about you and why you think you'll be a good fit. Tell us who you are, what you like, don't like, what you do and where you come from, we really look forward to meeting you!
What we’re looking for:
**Lifestyle
We'd love someone who has experience living in communal settings, who is comfortable communicating with others on their needs and who respects other people’s space and needs.
Probably someone more on the ‘quiet and relaxed’ side of the personality spectrum than on the ‘high-energy’ side.
Clean and tidy is a must, and someone who is happy to follow a monthly rotating cleaning chores 'roster’ and execute cleaning tasks without needing to be reminded to do so.
We would prefer someone who either works or studies full time during the day, or does a PhD.
We cannot accommodate late shift or night shift workers, sorry night owls. We have a "quiet time rule" from 11pm to 7am on weekdays to ensure everyone can sleep enough and well, which is particularly appreciated when work gets busy and stressful and home is the place to wind down!
**Social
We’re definitely a quiet home and enjoy having our own space and quiet down time for reading and relaxing, including in common areas.
Very happy however to throw parties once in a while — We love an opportunity for a dinner party or games night.
**The house and the room
The house is only a ten-minute walk to the Ainslie shops and IGA, 25-minute walk to Braddon/Civic, and located right at the bottom of the Ainslie reserve.
The house is on two levels and is very well compartmented, with bedrooms away from the multiple common areas.
The room is approximately has a in-built wardrobe and a queen-size bed in almost new condition.
We have an additional room with a desk that we use as an office and guest room.
The house is fully furnished but there is limited storage space inside the house and shed so we will prioritise someone with a reasonable amount of belongings.
We have one bathrooms and one toilet for two people - the third housemate has their own toilet upstairs.
There is a large, paved courtyard at the back of the house.
There is room for a car to be parked outside but not covered.
**Price
The house is $810 per week split between three people, with one paying more due to their larger room size.
The payment must be paid into one of the housemate's account who pays the whole $810 to the real estates.
Payment is due on Wednesday by COB, for the whole amount to be automatically debited by the real estates at 7am on Thursday; and this pays for the following Friday-to-Thursday fortnight.
We also have to pay internet (NBN) at $28 per person per month.
We have central gas heating for winter. We recommend to budget for approximately between $20-30 per week (but paid in one go, quarterly).

We are two females in our early-mid thirties working full-time in the arts and cultural sector, with our independent and separate routines, but we love a chat in the evenings and weekend and the occasional house dinner & movie hang out. We like to go to gigs and other cultural events together as well.
