We have applied for an amazingly sick 4 bedroom house in the heart of Fitzroy- the only place to live in Melbourne ;) Currently there are 3 of us- 2 girls & 1 guy- and we are looking for a couple to fill the last big room of the house. It is quite a huge bedroom with sick wooden shelves & ornamental fireplace, with amazing windows! Plus obviously there's the rest of the house too, which is a huge gorgeous open living area, kitchen, huge bathroom, big sunny decking courtyard out the front & back! As it is such a rad area & perfect location in the heart of Fitzroy, it would be around $465 per week for a couple, BUT all bills are included which is amaaaazing!!! (Except internet which will be super cheap!) Bond is quite large, $7200 for the whole house , so $1440 for each person in the house, meaning the couple would pay $2880 in total. But never fear, as you will get the money back once you move out (if you haven't damaged the house in any way of course), Fitzroy pool is around the corner, and Edinburgh Gardens is a 5-10 minute walk away for all your glorious sunny park drinking Sundays!! Unfortunately there are no parks so people with cars the only place to park is about 900m away :(((

A great 1920 Victorian cottage in the middle of Fitzroy, 10mins walk to the city and situated between the 96 and 11 trams. The lounge has beautiful gold brocade wallpaper, ornate ceilings and a fireplace (only ornamental). Being older the house has a few blemishes, which I just think add to it's charm and character. The room available fits a queen bed, with space on either side and has some built in storage, plenty of natural light, as well as a decorative fireplace. Shower and toilet are seperate, and there's an external laundry in the backyard, which gets lots of sun, and has plenty of space for an above ground garden.

We have 2 bathrooms and a huge kitchen/lounge area with french doors leading out on to a courtyard which gets all day sunshine. We have a bbq which we like to fire up in the summer time. We have a little gym room which consists of basic free weights, entertainment wise we have fetch TV, apple tv and unlimited internet, although we are not couch potatoes. Our regular antenna doesn't work so we don't get standard TV channels. The apartment is beautiful light and airy with a balcony and modern kitchen. It's really quiet and leafy green in the centre garden with a nice pool! Our house has many plants and beautiful decor and the energy in the house is so amazing. The room is 3.2 x 3.5m with built in wardrobes, lots of light comes in especially in the afternoon. Rent is $271 a week plus $25 a week each person for bills. The room is available from around mid april- though we don't have the exact move out date yet. Alana practices Lomilomi Haloa and holds sessions out of a room in the house on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11-2 and 3.30-6.30pm. We've just signed the lease for this place and pick up keys on the 3rd of March and so are looking for someone to move in with us and take the second bedroom. Just off Brunswick so transport is no issue what so ever and getting about for food and drink will be a piece of cake. House is surprisingly roomy for the area with a sweet little outdoor bit for drinks/bbqs etc. Bond is actually 6 weeks rent so 1300, monthly rent is 1200. There's no fixed monthly amount for bills as it just depends on how much we use! Please note that this room is for one person only, as there's only one bathroom in the house so sharing between 4 would be an absolute nightmare!

Hello there, we are Rose and Holly and we're needing to fill a room in this reasonably newly renovated house in Clifton Hill. The house has been a share-house environment for the past 5 years and all in all it has run very smoothly. The owner, Matt, has decided to move on to pastures solo so we are looking for a replacement! The house is pretty large for the area and has an upstairs and downstairs living room and a rear courtyard. There is plenty of space to get away if you need a quiet moment. The kitchen is part of the open plan living room and has pretty much everything you need if you don't have much/any equipment. Important -our big black cat Sigur will remain here so if you are not a cat fan - stop reading - this isn't the place for you as he is very affectionate. The upstairs is where we have our bedrooms and the living room has served as a bit of a painting / yoga studio / office space. You can add to this arrangement if you so wish (within reason) ! Your room is downstairs at the front of the house and it's very private and self contained with it's own en-suite. The room has a built in bed (which Matt built himself and is pretty cool!) and can come with a queen size mattress if you need it. There is a cupboard for storage but no built in robes. About us - We're both from the UK, actually about 20 minutes from each other but we met here when we moved in to the house! Rose is 33, works as a medical rep and enjoys a red wine and a catch up! Holly is 28, works in Health Insurance and also enjoys a red wine! Holly spends half of her time staying over at her boyfriends so isn't always knocking about. The 2 of us have become great friends since moving in and we are sociable creatures! It's a very relaxed household and you would feel right at home. We sometimes cook for each other (Rose is great at a proper english breakfast) and are very easy going when it comes to splitting the household responsibilities! The area is really nice to live in. You will notice its near the freeway, however noise is not a factor. If you cycle or run the tracks on the river are very close. Perhaps the best feature is the cafe about 50m away which does great coffee and food. No extra pets please and not considering couples for the room. The rent includes bills (wifi included) and also includes a cleaner we have once a fortnight. That's probably enough for now - any questions sing out! Cheers
