The wall isnt actually red! Its an old real estate photo...I'm yet to get the keys, so the photos are a mix of my photos and the orginal ad. This apartment is super bright with beautiful high ceilings. The apartment is only a 3 minute walk to Coogee Beach, the main cafe strip and the bus stop is outside the apartment block. The apartment is behind Coogee Oval so there isn't the hustle and bustle of the Coogee main road. Your room has deep built in robes so no other furniture needed...except a bed. I will only be getting the keys to the apartment on the 28th of November so the house may be a little bare to begin with. I will be buying a fridge, washer and couch within the first week of moving though. If you have your own furniture then you are welcome to bring it! This beautiful, big apartment is located only three blocks from Coogee's main beach, surrounded by cafes and pubs, and is a short bus trip (bus stop approx. 50m away) or drive to the city. You've really got the best of all worlds here! The apartment itself is on the top floor, is bright and airy and with a security door downstairs, it is a safe unit block. We have a large balcony, perfect to share a few afternoon wines and cheese board and watch the sun go down. With an internal laundry and large, functional kitchen, you couldn't want for anything more! Our building has a great community vibe between the units, we even have a group chat for when someone needs a jump start or a delivery has been left downstairs. It's a friendly, fun, neighbourly and vibrant place to live! We have been in this apartment for five years now and absolutely love it! Sea views! Shared rooftop! Fab kitchen! Stone's throw from the beach! Other things to get excited about! THE APARTMENT A huge, ground floor, art deco renovated apartment, overlooking the Oval at Coogee beach. Living and outdoor spaces are spacious and lovely, the bedrooms are roughly equally sized, but on the smaller side of doubles [see floor plan pic]. The living spaces, outdoor spaces, and amazing location more than make up for it. The kitchen is amazing and there's a dishwasher - always good to know. THE ROOMS I have the room next to the bathroom, and the back room and middle rooms are available to rent. Every room has its upsides and downsides, plus I want everyone to feel like it's equally their home, so the rent is split equally. ROOM 2 AVAIL 6 JAN: the middle room is slightly smaller than the other two, but is a better shape and has plenty of storage including some built in cupboards up high, and hanging rails below them, so it doesn't really feel smaller. It gets less natural light than the back room, but this is your saviour in summer. ROOM 3 AVAIL 6 JAN: the back room is slightly bigger, and has less built-in storage (a small cupboard with hanging rails beneath, and a set of two drawers that goes beneath), but is north-facing with lovely sunshine and a door out to the courtyard where there's a table and chairs, barbecue and clothes hanging space. This is the main access to the courtyard, so you should be comfortable with flatmates (politely) gaining access to the courtyard through your room. We can share the storage space in the rest of the house, and there's room for additional shelving, shoe racks etc etc. FURNISHINGS The rooms are unfurnished other than what's mentioned above, and there will be double beds in your room, but happy to remove these if you have our own bed/mattress. As for the rest of the house, it's fully set up as a home as I've been living there for over 2 years, but can discuss if you need more storage space outside of your room. OUTDOORS There's a shared rooftop (which we can also book) with ocean & Oval views, a courtyard out the back with a BBQ (common property but there's a fence between our side and next door's) and a balcony/patio out the front (leading out from the living space and looking out to the sea). Not fussed if you smoke outside, but absolutely no smoking in the house. HOME SWEET HOME The idea is for this to be our home rather than a place where ships pass in the night and and am keen to find someone who is after more than just somewhere to sleep. Like to keep the house clean and tidy and generally treat it as if it's my own home. Absolutely NOT a party house, but the odd one here and there is fine. I know Sydney pretty well and have my own buddies, but having friends to hang out with at home is always pretty great to come home to; I've been very lucky to make some great friends from flatmates, and think it makes for a happy home for everyone if we have occasional flatmate dates and go for swims/walks/coffees/drinks/whatever. RENT/BILLS/LEASE Flatmates website only lets me quote the weekly amount, but we pay the rent and bills monthly. Bills include electricity, gas, unlimited internet, Netflix and fortnightly cleaner. Weekly = $369, Monthly = $1,597 The lease ends at the end of September 2019 and you must be willing to commit to joining the lease - the emotional upheaval of fave flatties moving back to the UK has taken its toll! We can have a one-month trial period first to see how we get on. N.B. Our landlords live next door, in case that's something that would bother you. We get on with them pretty well and they're very generous (they always say neighbours first, landlords second) - I find it handy to have them so close. NEIGHBOURHOOD AND TRANSPORT Technically on-street parking is by permit, but the parking this close to the beach isn't that great in summer. So if you have a car, be prepared for that. Bus stops on our doorstep - 353, 314, 313, 372, M50, 373, X73, 374, X74, 370 and maybe some others I've forgotten. Beaches bus at weekends in summer, too (15mins to Bondi beach). Coogee Pav almost on your doorstep. Easy walk to everywhere else (Gordon's Bay, Ladies' baths, Wylie's, CBH, all the other places on Coogee Bay Road. Bit more of a walk - or a bus - to The Spot). And the beach is right there, of course!

This lovely flat is spacious and well maintained. Situated on the first floor, it is also the top apartment which means you don't have to hike up a million stairs but you also get a vantage point view from the balcony which over looks Coogee valley and has ocean views. There's a lovely breeze that comes in through the sliding glass doors and many a meal has been enjoyed out on the balcony or at the dining table looking out at the water. The kitchen has everything you need and also has a lovely view of the valley. It is especially pretty at night. Your room is the master bedroom with en suite, fully furnished with an incredibly comfy queen sized bed. Linens provided. There is a laundry in the flat with washer and dryer. It's a 5 minute walk to Clovelly Rd where you will find an assortment of cafes & restaurants, pubs and shops. My favourite brunch spots are Bake Bar and Clodeli. It's a 5 minute drive to Clovelly Beach, Gordon's Bay and Coogee Beach and a lovely route for a run or walk if you are inclined. There's a bus stop right outside the house which will get you to Bondi Junction in 10 minutes, or the city in 20. Internet is included in the rent and there is a BBQ on the balcony which you are welcome to use.
