So, although our house is small and the bathroom is shared, we are pretty good at working around each other thus far. We don't mind the odd dinner/drinks together and also don't mind heading out for breakfast on a Saturday morning to sample the local places. We are looking to invest in a BBQ, will need a microwave but we are close to everything. There is a local shopping complex down the road and Carindale Westfield a little bit further. If you don't mind a little further drive - Garden City isn't far either. We are a 20-25 minute bus from the city and 15 minutes by drive. With city views, most appliances provided. We are pretty flexible. The room currently has someone living in it - the room will be cleared prior to a new housemate moving in. We pride ourselves on paying bills before they are due and on time and we also make sure we clean the house weekly as we have a dog who is white.

My apartment is directly opposite a busway, with easy access to the city, UQ, PA hospital etc. It's a 5-8min walk to Coles, Woolworth and Aldi, and about the same distance to Stones Corner with cafes and restaurants. There's a pool (regularly maintained) and plenty of visitors parking (handy if you've got a car). The room has a single bed, bed side table and an Ikea chair. Will fit a small desk. Just bring yourself and luggage! I'll also be installing plantation shutters soon. It's next to a busy main road so not for light sleepers! Also you need to be prepared to walk up about 4 flights of stairs (good exercise though) You will be sharing the bathroom. There's aircon in the lounge area. Kitchen has convenient gas cooking. About 30 mins by bus into the city, or walk/drive down to Coorparoo train station (about a km down the road). I've walked home from the city a couple of times - so convenient and close! Situated on a quiet street there is plenty of off street parking, and visitor parking. The apartment is fully furnished, so you don't need to worry about bringing anything along other than you! The photos have not been updated and there is a different bed in the bedroom. But most of the other furniture remains the same. Bedroom furnishings include a queen bed, but if you already have your own bedroom furniture that's fine too. Your bedroom also includes a large built in robe with mirror doors. No air con in the room, but the fan is pretty powerful! Oh! And there's an awesome Thai restaurant/take away just up the road. Perfect for a lazy Friday night dinner with wine :) Please note that the move in date is the first weekend in February.
