Glen Huntly Road has shops, bars, cafes and even a cinema. It's also an easy bus or bike ride down to St Kilda/Elwood and the beach. I don't have air conditioning, but have survived without it for years – just something to note. The room currently has a desk and very comfy mattress – it's perfect for shorter stays while you're setting up in Melbourne, and you could even use it as an office in the day by putting the mattress against the wall. Perfect for digital nomads who like a bit more quiet than your usual shared workspace. For longer stays, honestly the mattress is super comfy – or you may want to add a little furniture. My dog is an important member of the house so would like to hear from people who genuinely love dogs and have been around large dogs. Bills are included (elec, gas, internet, water) but I do expect you will contribute to things you use in the house like loo paper, bin bags, and those sorts of general items. Cheers!

Welcome to Brighton-le-Sands! The rather stately name for our humble yet cosy little abode in a gorgeous old art deco apartment block of only 4 units, located in the surrounds of St Kilda. This is not a super tiny apartment building and is much more spacious than the other boxes you'll find around. The best thing about the flat, however, is the amazing location, especially for the price. The 67 tram stops right out the front of the house and it's a 5-minute walk to Ripponlea station (which is on the Sandringham line) so the whole Chapel Street area is very easy to get to, as is really anywhere south of the Yarra. The city is no more than 30 minutes and Elsternwick, Carlisle Street and Ormond Rd and all 5 minutes away. Also, it's just a lovely stroll down Elwood canal to the beach which will be amazing coming into summer. As it's on Brighton Rd/Nepean Highway you're really well connected to the South-Eastern Suburbs and you get a parking space off the street because neither of us has a car. Woohoo! There are heaps of great restaurants and cafes nearby, and we've got two IGAs just down the road. The area is also nice and safe but still has a really unique, down to earth feel to it. The house has a bathroom with a washing machine and a communal area - a lounge room with a kitchenette with quite a bit of storage space. We have heating and aircon... but no TV! You're more than welcome to bring yours, but it just hasn't been a priority for us to get one - at the moment. We have unlimited internet - $23 a month and it's super fast. Bills vary but it's about $100-$150 a quarter. Bond is $651 and there is a lease transfer fee costing $110. It's also a month-to-month lease, so you will need a job and references. Also the move in date isnt until 1st of April

The house a large cottage style home, nestled in the Urban Oasis of Elwood. We're on the main drag of the cafes/bars and the location is incredible. The beach is a few minutes walk away, while Elsternwick park is around the corner with Elsternwick train station being a ten minute walk. The rooms are large and there is plenty of storage/cupboard space for the third housemate. Our yard provides shading and grassed areas with some hammocks setup for R&R. We have tons of fun together, share a laugh, keep the house clean and absolutely love the place. The bathroom is large with a working spa both for those winter months. All rooms have air con as well as ducted heating throughout the joint. It certainly has a lot of charm in an area that is renowned for its cafes, restaurants and bars.
