There is a bus stop right outside our front gate, and many more nearby that make it easy to get around, into the city and elsewhere. We are also about a 15 minute walk from the Newmarket train station. If you have a car there is a parking space available under the house, though there is also plenty of parking space on the street. The house has air-conditioning, though we try to limit use because we want to save the world. The available bedroom shares a bathroom (pictured) with one other housemate. Technically, the house is located on Carroll Cres, Grange but if you walk 5 metres to the left of us, you're in Wilston. (Kedron Brook Road is the street closest to us) The house is a semi-renovated Queenslander meaning that the inside of the house has been renovated, the outside hasn't been done yet. It has a standard Queensland open plan with wooden floor-boards so it gets a lot of flow during the summer. It's got a giant backyard so we will consider having another small to medium sized dog here (bagel would love a friend) . The room can come with a king sized bed (and bedding) if needed. The bed is shown in the photos just to give you a feel of the size. It features wall-long cupboards for all your storage needs. It also has a brand new ceiling fan and the blue colour is surprisingly very calming to be in. There is aircon in the main section of the house but it takes a while to cool down such a big room. Hi all! I'm looking for expressions of interest for a 3rd flatmate in our fairly spacious double-storey 3 bed/2 bath (3 toilets) townhouse in well-to-do Wilston. The place is fully furnished (and lounge furniture is going to be up-graded shortly), so you only need your bedroom furniture. The room has great light and is airy, has aircon, a built-in wardrobe and overlooks the leafy courtyard. It fits a queen size bed easily. The large main bathroom (bath and shower) and separate upstairs toilet you'd share with one other. There is also a double lock up garage which you can rotate your car spot and there is a fair amount of off-street parking too. The courtyard is great for sipping cocktails outside in summer and also having barbecues (we have one!) and location-wise is perfect if you love great cafes; the cafe strip is 2 mins walk down the road. Wilston station is about 10-15 mins max walk away and there are buses outside the apartment complex. Supermarkets are a 5 min drive away from Newmarket Reading Complex, Lutwyche and also Stafford Shopping Centre. We're a 7 min drive to the CBD. Because I have a great relationship with the landlords/owners, I've been able to keep the rent low at $160.00/wk. Bond is 4 weeks rent. Unlimited internet is $20/mth. If not, we have local shops nearby and public transportation as well. The room is not furnished but WIFI is included in rent. Other utilities are not included. Your cut will be about $80 a month.
