Perfectly located and walking distance to the gym, shops, public transport, restaurants and cafes. The house is fully furnished and we can also discuss the room being furnished if the right occupant does not contain furnishings. We are looking for a female housemate around the same age or younger. Janelle 27 and Kayne 30 We've known each other since high school and are pretty close, but we are hoping to find another girl who can fit right in with our laid back friendly way of living. During the week it's pretty low key, we both work full time and then at night we share the meal cooking and have some general banter over a nice glass of red or two. We do go to the gym ( which is located at the end of the street) but not religiously. Were not health freaks either, we do definitely enjoy take out every now and again. Weekends, if we aren't working, are being spent relaxing, shopping, catching up with friends, going out (for a dance and drink), going to the footy, sleeping or taking trips away. We are both originally from rural Victoria and like to head back there every now again. Kaynes interests include: football (the bombers) please don't hold that against him, hanging out with mates, eating, having good convos and sleeping. This is no party house, very quiet place, which we live. Kayne spends most of his time either at his girlfriends place or at his parents farm, so his only here a couple nights a week. Thanks for coming to read our ad - sorry it's so long, but we want to be as open and honest as possible with our new housemate. Looking forward to hearing from you! :) IMPORTANT POINTS FIRST - Your application will be pending approval from the real estate agent; therefore you must provide references, 100 points of ID, payslips etc. - Rent amount - $608.33 per month each (paid on the 1st of the month). - Bond will need to be decided by our agency – please ignore “Bond is 2 weeks rent”. - Whatever way you earn money is fine, but you must be able to pay rent on time. - The lease is for 12 months, which started in mid-May. If the landlords allow it, we will probably look to extend our lease after this time. - Bills are split evenly 3 ways. - We have cable WIFI internet at the property which is pretty quick and unlimited. - You must be good with dogs. We have two large dogs (one giant), who can be a bit full on at times, but otherwise are mostly sleepy. They are both very sweet friendly dogs. One of the dogs is quite a drooler, so be warned! :) - The room is more suitable for a single person, but if you have a partner that you want to have over, that’s totally fine. - We would prefer omnivores, as we are meat eaters and our dogs are too. - There is always raw meat in the fridge for our dogs. - The house is fully furnished, so you would just need to bring furniture for your room. However, there are some storage options around the property if you do have things you need to store. - No more dogs allowed on the property, sorry! Our dogs can't live with cats but pocket pets might be considered by the agency. They must stay in their cages though to avoid any tragic encounters with our dogs. - The house is not suitable for children, sorry! THE ROOM & HOUSE The bedroom is approximately 8.7ft x 10ft and has a built in robe and shelving. There are some butterfly and flower decals on the wall (it used to be a kids room) which came with the house, so I assume they have to stay. The room has blackout blinds and looks out to the backyard (with a shade-cloth over the window). You will have your own bathroom, which has a sunken spa/shower. We would love to be able to use the bathtub from time to time (prearranged with you, of course, to make sure it doesn't affect your schedule). And we are happy to share cleaning of that bathroom for that reason. You'd absolutely be free to use our ensuite if need be while we were using the bath.There is a separate toilet as well. There is on street parking (no restrictions). It’s a safe neighbourhood, so your car should be fine – people park on our street to go to the station all the time. In saying that, if you think your handbrake can handle our super steep driveway you're more than welcome to park in the driveway next to the house. The house has heating & air-conditioning, as well as a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is a workshop/garage out the back which you will have access to. We have Netflix :) The house is less than a 10 minute walk to Greensborough Station. The house has a balcony leading from the loungeroom which is lovely to sit out on and enjoy the view over the neighbourhood. There is also a cat, a dog, and a python living here, and they are all very chill most of the time, but this small menagerie means there is no room for more pets. I'd love to find someone who loves dogs in particular as Max (the dog) loves to be loved. There is a tenant in the bungalow in the backyard, but as it's self contained he mainly keeps to himself. The is only one ensuite (currently used by my roommate) so main bathroom would be shared with myself. We're a short walk from Uni Hill Factory Outlets, and subsequently close to the 86 tram line and to RMIT University. La Trobe is only a short tram ride away. (Actual address is 1 Edinburgh Circuit- but website doesn't recognise it!). Rent is $585 per month, which excludes bills. Bills are received quarterly and would never amount to anything more than $100 a month. No on site parking, however being the corner house means you're able to park in the street bays only metres from the front door.
