Hi, Looking for 1 new room mate to share my newly purchased house with myself and 2 others. We're not big partiers but do enjoy a beverage on occasions. Normally a pretty quite house hold as we are out doing different things at different times so you get a lot of space. Only 13km from the city, 3km from Darra train station, 1km to Mt Ommaney shopping centre and 50m from bus stop. The house is fully furnished but has room to add stuff or a shed to store stuff as well, bedroom not furnished. Common areas and bedrooms all have fans, ducted air-conditioning and built in wardrobes with sliding 2m mirror. There is also a large study room free for use. Massive back yard with entertainment area. Bills and internet are split between roommates (works out about $15 per week inc internet) Beau is 27 works in gas quality testing and Ashleigh is 30 working in beauty therapy. Both are very normal, easy to get along with, always clean up after themselves. Im pretty much the same. Im 27 and work in aviation at Brisbane airport working shift work. The house is split over 2 levels, I live downstairs in granny flat and upstairs is 3 bed so you will really only be sharing with 2 others. Were looking for a room mate who is like minded, can socialise and have some fun, but also likes there own quite time and personal space. Needs to be tidy, independent and respectful. This house is a recently purchased, newly renovated, owner-occupied home, meaning that we take care of it and if something goes wrong, we will be right on it. The house is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, close to parkland, train stations, and Mt Ommaney Shopping Center. It takes 10 minutes to get to the local train station or the shopping center via a bus or bike. There is on-street parking available if you own a car. As a tenant, you would have access to a large furnished bedroom, shared access to the kitchen, laundry and living room, and a bathroom which you share with one other person. The bedroom is fully furnished. It comes with a double bed (sheets can be provided if required), a desk, a bookshelf, and a built-in wardrobe. The kitchen is also furnished, and you can use the utensils in there if required. We do have a second lounge room which is currently unfurnished, so if you have a TV or consoles which you want to set up, you can feel free to put them in there. All housemates are clean and neat, and treat our shared spaces with respect. In regards to house rules, we simply ask that you treat the space and the people within, with the same level of respect with which we treat it ourselves. This means things like no dirty dishes in the sink for long periods of time, being respectful of when other people are sleeping, and cleaning up after yourself in the shared areas.

I never thought of buying in Darra, until I did a few years ago. I've rented one room so that brings me to having 1 more bedroom in a newish 4 bedroom house (12 years old) for rent. Room is available now. No couples pls. About me: Nick, 33, work full time in property development. I’m from Melbourne originally and came to Brisbane 4 years ago. I love sport, boating and the beach love a beer on the weekend. The house: Located in Warrender St, Darra, its about 4 mins walk from the station and local shops including a massive fruit store and a few bakeries. The station has heaps of express trains to and from the city, and has both the Ipswich and Springfield line going through it. Woolworths and Aldi, a Jetts gym and pub are about 15 minutes by foot. House has 4 bedrooms and a few bathrooms. All bedrooms are 3 by 3 metres+ with walk in robes. Massive front and backyard (back fully fenced) with veggie garde therefore small dog friendly (not for cats however since we have one). While occupants look after the housekeeping within their private rooms, housekeeping and garden maintenance will be provided. Internet is NBN on the moderate speed (25mb), it does experience some congestion 4-8pm but is fine for netflix streaming etc. We have split system airconditioning in the living room(s) but not currently in the bedrooms. A portable airconditioner is available for the room for $15 per fortnight to cover additional electricity costs. There is no smoking on the property. All housemates tidy after themselves as well as complete 1-2 chores (approx 15-30 min per week, such as taking bins out, mowing, vacuuming). Major cleaning tasks are completed by monthly external cleaner.

We are currently looking for a housemate to take over a room in our share house. We live in a two storey 4 bedroom, three bathroom (three showers) house with a large back garden. I am a 23 year old in Medical Admin working out of The Wesley Hospital (full time) and my housemate Kia is a 22-year-old Marketing Manager for a small business in Darra. We are super easy going. Our third room has been taken by a lovely guy called Paul who works fulltime. We have one room to offer (3.5 x is 3.1 m) and it is $135 including bills. It’s in a very quiet neighbourhood but near the motorway to get to places quickly. As well as 5 minute walk from the train station to were trains run every 10-15 minutes.
