The apartment is located less than 5 minutes walk to the Kingston foreshore precinct and the lake. The Kingston shops are also a 5 min walk down the road! The apartment is reasonably sized, with a large living area/kitchen down stairs and the two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs - which I think is a great setup. The bedroom has a built-in wardrobe with mirrors and is large enough to fit a double or queen bed, and side tables. The bedroom also has its own bathroom, while not an en-suite is just next to it. The two bedrooms share a balcony with views of Kingston, and the living room also has a balcony which is quite spacious - hoping to get some outdoors furniture for summer! The living room has a split system aircon/heater. I’ve been told by my friend who previously lived here that the place stays warm in winter, as is well insulated, and also can be kept cool in the summer. The room comes with a off-street carpark in the building complex garage.
This quaint ‘old’ Kingston apartment is beautifully lit with plenty of natural sunlight during the day and is spacious for two people. It is in an enviable location, conveniently situated right outside the bus stop on Wentworth Avenue, just 2 mins walk to the Kingston shops, 5 mins walk to the restaurants and bars of the Kingston foreshore, and 10 mins to Coles Manuka and the Manuka shops! The apartment has two large balconies overlooking greenery, both of which provide generous space for hanging up the laundry, reading or having a cup of tea in pleasant weather. The room that is available is well-lit with plenty of natural sunlight during the day, comfortably fits a double or queen bed, and has loads of wardrobe space. There is also a secure underground car spot available with the room.
'SHORT TERM LEASE TRANSFER - 3 MONTHS REMAINING' Looking for someone to take my spot on the lease which ends in Mid February :) Kingston is a wonderful suburb with everything you need in a short distance. 3 mins drive from Manuka which has a supermarket, Cinema and food outlets such as Mcdonalds, Grill'd and Subway.
Located on the corner of Eyre and Howitt Streets, the apartment is super close to Kingston shops and restaurants, the lake, the old bus depot markets, and bus stops. The light filled apartment has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom (with separate toilet), heating, and a dishwasher. The complex has 6 visitors car spots and there is on street parking available outside of work hours. The place doesn’t currently have internet but I’m very open to getting it.
Apartment is located in an EXCELLENT location for the following reasons: It's a stones throw to the Kingston Shops, Telopea Park, Manuka Oval, great eating options, Kingston Foreshore, and walks around Lake Burley Griffin! The unit as an air conditioner/heater, electric element gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge, washer and dryer as part it. It’s cool in summer and not too bad in winter.
Indicative move-in date is on or after the 18th of November, pending occupancy forms being signed off by the agent. The rent is $395/fortnight, payable every second Thursday. The bond is already paid in full and the lease is in my name, so you'll be a sub-occupant as the process for adding someone to the lease is more onerous. I'm comfortable assuming sole liability for the property, but I will request a nominal amount to be paid to me, less than the bond, which I will return if either of us vacate. The property is located on Canberra Avenue, a 10 minute walk from Manuka shops and Kingston shops and a 20 minute walk from National Circuit and Parliament House. The rent is very competitive given the proximity to Manuka and Kingston. Internet is $45 p/m ($90 split in half) and electricity/gas are variable with seasons. The apartment will have room for some furniture if you have some you would like to bring in. I am using the interior parking spot but there is guest parking or a strip across the road if you have a car. Your room does not have an in-built closet, however there is a cloth closet available (or your own closet can be moved in). The apartment has an NBN connection. I own the fridge/microwave and there is a laundry and dryer installed, so the whitegoods are covered. There is a balcony and unfortunately no in-built heating/air-conditioning or elevator (three flights of stairs). No smoking or pets allowed as per the existing rental agreement.
Located in Griffith for easy transport to the city, you'd share a bathroom with one other and have a north facing room for maximum sun. All hardwood floors, spacious living room and kitchen with front garden. Central heating to combat the cold Canberra winters. The room can come furnished for a one-off fee (our current housemate is leaving the country so she will sell you her bed, etc. if interested) or unfurnished. Rent is $210/week plus bills. Let us know a bit about yourself when you message! :)
We have a master bedroom available in the Archer Complex in Griffith. The room has a number of built-in wardrobes, an ensuite and comfortably fits a queen bed and a bedside table. The room can be furnished if required. The apartment is brand new and modern and a 10-15 minute walk to Kingston shops, Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets and Manuka Coles. The apartment is furnished and there is a small storage cage in the basement. Facilities include a laundry area with washer and dryer, dishwasher and ducting air conditioning/heating. There is on-street parking available. Rent is $315 a week. Bills and utilities are paid separately and split evenly. Internet can be provided for $30 a month. You'll also have to sign on to the lease (with approval from the agent) which is due to end on 22 February 2020.
*FURNISHED/UNFURNISHED ROOM W/ SHARED BATHROOM IN GRIFFITH* We are looking for a third roommate to share our spacious and quirky three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. This single-storey brick house is located on a quiet street in the leafy suburb of Griffith, a short 10 min walk to Kingston and Manuka shops and a 10 min drive into Civic and Fyshwick markets. There is plenty of on-street parking and several bus stops are within easy walking distance. The house would be ideal for someone working in the Parliamentary Triangle, Kingston area, or in Civic. The house comes fully furnished with a large kitchen for cooking feasts, a separate lounge and dining room, laundry with washing machine and dryer, and a huge back garden with a BBQ. All rooms have ducted gas heating for the cold Canberra winters and the lounge room has a split system air-conditioner for summer. There are plenty of opportunities in the kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and the gardens for you to add your personal touches. The room we are looking to fill is cosy and on the smaller side, but accommodates a double bed, wardrobe and other furniture items, with more storage available in other parts of the house if needed. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other roommate. The room is not suitable for a couple. The room can come fully furnished if required and most furniture in the room to be filled is for sale – please let us know if this is something you’d be interested in. Move-in date is somewhat flexible but before the end of 2019 is preferred. The landlord has confirmed that we are able to continue our lease long term. Sorry, no pets.
The fully furnished apartment is within easy walking distance to the bus stop, Manuka shops and Parliamentary triangle. It has: - a modern, open plan and sunny living area - Built in wardrobe and your own balcony - Unlimited internet and Netflix - Close to Manuka and Barton restaurants and Coles - A storage cage
Beautiful room in a modern, penthouse apartment with amazing views over Lake Burley Griffin! The apartment is on the top floor of the complex and is spread over two levels, with massive living, kitchen and dining areas. It has a large balcony that overlooks Lake Burley Griffin. Enjoy breakfast in the sunshine, and some of the best sunsets Canberra has to offer! The room has spacious built-in robes and will fit a queen bed and small bookshelf. It features a window with a beautiful leafy outlook towards Parliament House (check out the photos!). You'll be sharing a modern bathroom with one other female housemate. You'll have access to the complex's gym and secure underground car park. Walking distance to Kingston Foreshore, Parliamentary Triangle and Lake Burley Griffin. Internet, parking and other bills all separate.
** This ad is now free to message - upgraded my account! ** My flatmate is moving to Sydney for work so I am looking for a respectful, clean and tidy flatmate for a well located spacious two story apartment in Forrest. It is definitely not a shoe box like most modern apartments - pictures do not do it justice! The lease is due to be renewed and the new person would need to go on the lease, we have just negotiated a 12 month lease at $310/week each ($620/week overall). There is some flexibility in the available date. The available room is very spacious - 4.2mx3.5m with two built in wardrobes (having lived in Melbourne for many years the novelty of built in robes has not yet worn off!). Direct access to and sole use of the main bathroom with a shower, bath and separate toilet - essentially an en-suite. The toilet has shelves for additional storage. The second bedroom and bathroom are located upstairs, it is like living in your own flat! Highlights of the apartment are: - own off street car space in secure basement carpark (we are fortunate to have two spots) - off street visitor car spaces - secure storage cage in the basement - private spacious living area and balcony - established herb garden - kitchen with marble bench tops, dishwasher and plenty of storage space (fridge to stay) - ducted heating and cooling - spacious living area - it is furnished but can be flexible to accommodate the things of others - separate laundry (washing machine to stay, dryer with flat) - storage under the stairs The building is well located: - 5-10 minute walk to Commonwealth departments in the Parliamentary Triangle - 10 minute walk to Manuka shops - 15 minute walk to old Kingston shops - 20 minute walk to the lake - 2 minute walk to Manuka Swimming Pool and Manuka Oval - 5-10 minute drive to Fyshwick Markets - plenty of tennis courts near by My flatmate is open to offers for the bed and desk. Rent: $310/week each Bond: $1240 - will be lodged appropriately when lease is signed Internet: $30/month - unlimited NBN Energy bills: electricity only, received quarterly and split. A bit about me - I'm a 30 year old public servant that enjoys reading, going to the cinema and theatre, going for walks, scuba diving, playing board games and spending time with friends. I am clean and tidy in shared living spaces and looking for a flatmate that is the same in that respect. Enjoy having a drink and/or meal with my flatmate but appreciate that we need we our own space!
The flat is very light and spacious. It's within a quiet complex which has a nice communal garden. We are right in the centre of Barton and close to lots of good bars and cafes . The Barton grocer is about 5 mins away and it's about a 15 min walk to the Kingston shops/foreshore. The bedroom has a good sized wardrobe and a nice view. There is a double bed mattress available if you would like to use that. The bathroom is shared. It is quite large with a separate bath and lots of storage. There is a giant water heater so no issues with cold showers :) The living room has floor to ceiling windows out onto the balcony which is nice and leafy. The communal areas of the flat are pretty much fully furnished, but I'm happy to try and make room if you would like to bring anything along. There is a smart tv and happy to share a Netflix account The kitchen is a good size and I have all the basics; appliances, dishes etc. and there is a dishwasher. I just don't have a microwave but if you want to bring one that would be fine. Separate laundry w storage, washer and dryer. There is no air conditioning but the apartment stays pretty cool and we were fine last summer just occasionally using fans. There are wall heaters in the living room/bedrooms. Parking I am already using the allocated undercover parking space for the flat. There is lots of on-street parking around the complex, however most of this is max 2 hours during weekday working hours. There is a row of all day street parking just across the road. My previous housemates have not needed to leave their car during the day so I am not certain how hard it is to get one of these spots. I have checked with the building management if any of the spots in the undercover carpark are available but I am just waiting for their response. I will update this listing when I have this info.
I'm looking to get two housemates into a new houseshare at a 3 bed-2 bath-2 car apartment right in the middle of Barton. I've only just settled in here but I couldn't be happier with this apartment, it's got a lot of selling points; it's close to the shops, to the lake, to the park, to the office, and it's huge! The current housemates have found their own places and are looking to move into their own places, which opens up two of the rooms for two new housemates looking to make the most of it! The dates aren't set-in-stone yet, but the current housemates are probably going to move out in December 2019 or January 2020, so this will be perfect for those coming into town for work or study. I've got as many details as I can think of below, but If you love the look of the place feel free to throw me a message! The apartment is fantastic for those looking for a short commute to work in Barton. It's walking-distance from Parliament House and a lot of major government departments (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Attorney-General's Department, the Australian Government Solicitor, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Human Services, Department of Finance, Department of the Environment the Australian Federal Police, the Australian National Audit Office), to some major corporate offices (IBM, PwC, Fujitsu, Fuji Xerox, Boeing, Engineering Australia), and to some of Canberra's best hotels which are really popular for after-work drinks and conferences (Hotel Realm, Hotel Kurrajong). It's also near a lot of major cultural and historical sites, so you'll be able to attend some of the best after-work events and lectures at the National Gallery of Australia, the National Press Club Gallery (which hosts the monthly Canberra Diplomatic Club) and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. It's super close to the Barton Grocer, so you can easily pick up anything in an emergency. It's also close (15 minutes walk) to the shopping districts in old Kingston, the Kingston Foreshore and Manuka. It's even closer to the lakefront Bowen Park and to Telopea Park. Driving southside couldn't be easier, and you're super close to the King's Bridge if you need to drive north (Canberra Airport and the Majura Park shops like Ikea, Costco, Woolworths, Aldi, and Bunnings are a really easy drive away). There's also a major bus interchange just down the road at the Barton Bus Station which can take you to the Airport, to the City, or down to Woden. The apartment itself is a huge loft-style apartment (two floors). The top floor features the master bedroom with ensuite in a loft-style setup - I'm looking to use that one. Privacy's a bit of an issue with that room, as the walls are about waist-height. But If you're still interested in using that room instead I'm happy to discuss. The top floor also has a small study-nook which overlooks the living room, so it could be used for another seating area. The other two rooms are just downstairs and share the downstairs bathroom right nearby, so it's a quick walk from the bathroom to bedroom. They're right next to each other and are roughly the same size. It's also right next to the laundry room and the front door for those who like to roll out of bed and out-the-door pretty quickly. There's a distinct lounge area which can easily fit a three-person L-shaped couch, a coffee table, and a massive TV. It's right next to a massive 4-door balcony that's North-facing, meaning the apartment gets some beautiful natural light during the day (great for hang-drying your washing as well!). There's a dining area that can easily fit a 8-person dining table, and it's connected to the kitchen by a breakfast bar. The kitchen itself is massive, with plenty of cupboard space to go around (we haven't filled it even with 3 people) and a huge pantry (check out the photo!). On the other side of the apartment each bedroom gets a window that looks out onto a beautiful garden-courtyard, below which sits an underground parking garage (it's a pretty impressive feat of engineering, and you can see some beautiful sunsets from it). There's a good amount of visitor parking which is usually vacant, and there's plenty of street parking for after-hours, public holiday or weekend parking. I'll be using one of the permanent parking spots (and paying a bit more rent for it), but the other one is available. The apartment will come with a decent amount of shared furniture - there's a TV, dryer, washing machine, fridge, a coffee table and some armchairs. I'll be looking at getting some more bits and pieces as time goes on, but If you've got some stuff you'd like to bring it would be more than welcome! There's also a storage unit in the basement that can fit some boxes and maybe some shelves - anything wider than a standard door frame is going to be a challenging fit. To get an idea of the other living costs, internet is NBN and costs $70 a month. The last quarters' electricity bill was about $400 for the Winter period. I'd be happy to split the bill for a shared streaming service account (Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime Video) If you're interested. Rent is paid fortnightly, and 4-weeks' worth of rent is required for the bond moving in, which we'll pay to the real estate agent once things are firmed up. The rental agreement also has a pretty explicit 'no pets' clause.
This luxurious apartment is located in the CBD of Canberra and comes with gorgeous level 10 views of Canberra. air conditioning and unlimited wifi are included. The building of this apartment offers a fully equipped gym and barbecue facilities in the courtyard. It is available during the summer break at a great price. The apartment is only available for 3 months, and the tenants need to move out in mid-Feb.
