Also love daytrips to the coast for ocean swimming and exploring surrounding national parks on weekends. I'm a keen skier and snow lover and frequent Thredbo during the winter months. I value a clean and tidy, friendly, welcoming and relaxed home environment, and respect the need for privacy and quiet times. I am environmentally conscious, diligent with recycling, try to minimise waste, and remain conservative of energy and seek the same in any person who would come to share my home. If you are seeking a non-smoking, clean and tidy, friendly, social and relaxed home environment, I'm interested in hearing from you!
Housemate wanted for a spacious and airy apartment in Turner. This 3 bedroom split-level apartment is recently renovated and has everything you could need with a great kitchen with dishwasher and large fridge, fully equipped laundry and a fully furnished lounge area. But there is also plenty of space for an extra couch or two. The location is fantastic. You are a 15-20 minute walk into the city, 10 minutes to Braddon. Dickson is a 15-20 minute walk the other way and ANU is a 20-25 minute walk. You can see Black Mountain from the spacious balcony - which is an excellent spot for a tomato crop. There is one garage space that will becoming free and plenty of off street parking available. This is a great place to live, drop us line and let us know a little about yourself. We will be looking to take people through the apartment/meet as soon as possible. Your room is on the second floor and easily fits a queen sized bed, desk and bookshelves. The wardrobe is huge. There are fantastic wall heaters to keep you cosy in winter and a ceiling fan for the summer and double glazed windows! You will be sharing a big bathroom with an additional storage room tucked away inside, with one other housemate. Rent is $170 per week ($736.68 per calendar month) plus bills Internet - $20 per month and electricity - approx $150 per quarter, depending on the season (less in Summer, more in Winter) You will be friendly and easy going. Independent and happy to chat and hang out or do your own thing. You will be a responsible and clean housemate - non-smokers preferred.
Great location - 5 minutes to the Turner shops, ~10-15 minutes to Lonsdale St (less if you cycle!) and and a few more to Civic/ANU. Spacious ground floor two bedroom apartment with a large outdoor area (great for bbqs in summer) and reverse cycle air conditioning. It has two nearly-identical bathrooms, separate laundry and a large open-plan living/dining area. It's a good sized room (approx 3.3m x 2.7m) which comfortably fits a queen bed, gets plenty of natural light and comes with built-in wardrobe. The apartment is fully furnished with the exception of your bedroom. Unfortunately the lease agreement does not allow for pets. As with most rental properties in Canberra, electricity and internet aren't included, but you're welcome to use my netflix account :)
Amazing location for half the price! The room is small but well worth it for the price and privacy of being the only room downstairs. Less then 5-10 minute cycle to ANU/civic and even less to Lonsdale st and Oconner shops. The rest of the house is furnished and the bedroom can be upon request. Fits comfortably my double bed, clothes hanger and bedside table, the rest of my stuff fits nicely under my bed. There is also a garage for extra storage and a massive wild garden that is the perfect place to enjoy warm summer evenings. Bills will be very cheap over the summer as most of my housemates will be away. While the lease ends in February the realestate agent has said the lease is available for renewal at the discretion of the landlord (unlikely to be any issue there).
Looking for a new housemate for a townhouse in Ainslie, sharing with two female public servants in their late 20s. We are pretty central, 25 minute walk from civic, 10-15 minute walk to Braddon, 5 minute drive to Woolies in Dickson, but still far enough from the city and close enough to Mount Ainslie to feel you're getting away. Double garage with one car spot free. It is a pretty new place with reverse cycle AC and built-ins in all the rooms. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other, and there is an extra loo downstairs off the laundry. Bright living area with high ceilings and a great sunny courtyard out the front. Small outdoor area out the back. Low maintenance garden. Looking to rent immediately.
Homely three bedroom, one bathroom house in Downer with the biggest backyard you’ve ever laid eyes on. We moved in just over a year ago with a vision to create a lovely communal home after living in an apartment together and feeling awkwardly high off the ground. We are vegetarians passionate about the environment, social issues, dumplings and gin. There are plants, books, couches, cats, chats, cold brew and rad hangs to be had. Great gas heating which works a treat in the winter. Summer is another story and you may need to abandon pants and get a bedroom fan (we have house fans and every window has good blinds to keep the heat out). We share a bathroom with separate toilet; it’s beautiful blue Royal Doulton, if you were wondering. Ideally we would be looking for an all-round great housebuddy. Respectful of us, yourself, the cats, environment, communal spaces and the general atmosphere. We don’t have a strict preference for vegetarians although we are looking for people with similar mindsets. Please find below a few questions about yourself to help us understand you; Please describe yourself with three likes and three dislikes. Do you like cats? (Please indicate) 1. I fucking love cats 2. They are OK and I will slowly begin to love them 3. I’ll see myself out Why are you looking for a place to live? What do you bring to the home? (This includes furniture, skills and aspirations) How do you feel about dinner parties, guests and house parties? What is your weekly routine (e.g. do you work full time, part time and what do your evening movements consist of?)
This property is directly across from the O'connor shops, a bus stop, and within walking distance from the city centre. There is a drive way for parking and unlimited Internet included in the rent. The backyard includes a BBQ and multiple sitting areas to relax throughout the warmer seasons. The room for rent is at the front of the house, providing a lot of light in both morning and afternoon.
***A decision is in process. It is unlikely that I'll be able to take anyone further through*** My fabulous housemate is leaving me for Double Bay and although a replacement is impossible, I will need someone to fill his room. The apartment comes with: • Abundant storage • Spacious kitchen • Space-efficient laundry • Super cute study nook so any guests know (think) we’re smart • Great views into the neighbours’ apartment (perfect for people watching) • 1 housemate (sorry, the good one is leaving) • custom matching onesie with “If lost return to 155 Northbourne” (optional, but highly recommended, particularly if you’re planning a big night out) • access to the apartment’s storage cage • undercover parking space Your room (not pictured, but just imagine a more luxurious version of the room pictured) comes with: • Ensuite with man-sized shower • Large built-in, walk through wardrobe and drawers • Glass sliding doors which access the balcony The apartment will be furnished, however, will likely no longer feature the TV (bonus points if you're willing to buy out my flatmate's share, in which case we would own it jointly and it would stay). Your room will be unfurnished.
