We have a gas stove-top and oven, and a Weber Q out the back on a large deck looking over a yard with two vegetable patches (you're welcome to plant anything you like!). There is a park across the road, the local Woolworths is a 10min walk and we are 500m from a bus stop with buses every 5mins to the city. The apartment has an outdoor swimming pool and our own private balcony. A 5 minutes walking distance to O'Connor shops, Turner School and a 10 minutes walk to ANU and the city. The laundry (with washer & dryer) is outside on this deck and the roof has a washing line attached along its lengths. My puppy spends time out on here in her kennel and my son enjoys painting, water play and crafts out on this deck too. - The back garden is ridiculously huge with a big open garage in the back corner, lots of grass, beautiful native plants and a massive vegetable garden. - I can supply you with a DVD player and TV for your room if you need.
