Lovely townhouse located in the inner North. It is a 7 minute walking distance from North Lyneham shops, 12 minute walk from Old Canberra Inn and a 5 minute drive from Dickson and Lyneham shops. Ideal for students attending the ANU. The property is a 15 minute drive from Civic and the Australian National University. The house is also within close proximity to public transport. The living room is an open plan living area and can easily fit in furniture for dining and entertainment. The living area is also bathed in natural light which makes it a very comfortable place to study or relax. The property also has a spacious outdoor area at the front. Incredibly ideal for entertaining. Your bedroom has a built in robe and is large enough for a double bed and a small desk and bookshelf. There is gas heating which will be a godsend in winter as well as ducted evaporative cooling for summer.
One queen/king size bedroom (3.6m x 3.4m floor space),unfurnished, with built-in robe, and own separate bathroom. Another bedroom available to store additional furniture, or use as a separate study/sitting room. Three bedroom house, recently painted inside, with main bedroom separated from other bedrooms; living spaces in between. Ducted gas heating; Transact cable internet wi-fi. Garage = perfect for those frosty Canberra mornings. Covered rear deck; small, low maintenance garden (no work for housemate). Neat, tidy, quiet home - with music usually playing in the background (eclectic taste). Short walk to Dickson shopping centre (including Woolworths and the many restaurants), and two gyms (Flames and NextGen). Suit a mature, social, open-minded housemate. I prefer a sociable environment: a mate sharing a house, rather than a tenant. Sharing a drink and chat after work, the occasional meal, sitting down and watching the footy/TV/DVD together; not someone who spends every evening in their (bed)room. A fellow tennis/squash player or beach-goer would be great. Non-smoker requirement. Stable professional job who can pay rent on time. About me: 50, Public Servant. I walk to work most days (weather permitting), and keep regular hours. Non-smoker, and prefer quiet nights in or catching up with friends in a cafe/bar/restaurant rather than clubbing or partying. Love sports (prefer playing, but also watching) ... tennis, squash, soccer, netball. Enjoy beach (regular trips to the Coast on weekends in summer), cooking, theatre, reading, sci-fi movies/TV.
**** SHORT TERM SUMMER ACCOMMODATION **** Light and airy 3-bedroom house in a convenient location. Big garden and beautiful water views (Lyneham wetlands). 5 minute walk to Lyneham shops, Northbourne Ave and lots of public transport. 10 minute walk to Dickson shops. A 15 minute cycle to ANU and the city – house located just off the bike path. Parking available.

We have solar hot water and I just purchased a very large solar electricity that will generate twice energy of what we may consume. It will be installed in less than three months from now. Myself and Claire Montague have a room available in our three bedroom Turner apartment. We are both relaxed and social ANU Law students in our early twenties. The room will be available from the 6th December, for a year long lease, but we're flexible with the move-in date. Please note that the house is unfurnished and that Claire and myself will not be moving in till early February though we will still be paying rent and Claire will be around a few times over the summer to help set up the house. Our flat is spacious and airy with a peaceful balcony. The location is really central (15 min walk to uni, Civic & Braddon), so it's ideal for a student. The room has a built-in wardrobe but is currently unfurnished, so you're free to furnish it as you'd like. Females preferred
Nice apartment close to the City,Dickson, shops, bus, Anu... The apartment is all furnished but the room( always we can talk) internet includes, kitchen all equipped and utensils ready to use. I'm a 31 yo professional male working full time and usually 6/7 days a week. If any questions feel free to ask
This is a beautiful and recently renovated house that is situated in the heart of Ainslie, only a 2 minute walk from the local shops, a short 5 minute drive from the Dickson shops and Lonsdale street; and only a 10 minutes to the ANU or Canberra city centre. The house has central air conditioning and heating as well as a wood fire-place. The common areas have large bi-fold doors connecting the lounge room to the outdoor decks and seating areas. The Kitchen is expansive and includes a butler's pantry, dishwasher, wine cooler as well as a 5 burner gas stove. All other white goods such as the fridge, freezer, washer and dryer are also included. There is also high speed (ADSL2+) unlimited wi-fi that costs only $12 a month. The house is fully furnished except for the two bedrooms although there is certainly the option for you to bring additional furniture. There is also plenty of off-street parking available. We have two rooms available, both are approximately the same size. The room priced at $195 per week includes a built in wardrobe whilst the other room priced at $185 does not. Both rooms are connected to the heating and cooling system and have large windows allowing for a lot of natural light.
*INSPECTIONS THIS WEEKEND 3 - 4 DECEMBER* The room is in a modern apartment about 10-15 minutes walk to Braddon and Civic and there's a bus stop across the road. It's a light filled apartment with a spacious layout and plenty of storage. There's a large main balcony which is great for drinks with friends. The room has a private balcony and a built in wardrobe. The room will have exclusive use of the main bathroom except if guests are over. There is also a study nook which can be shared or used exclusively (there may be an increase in rent if exclusive use requested). The apartment is in a great location for workers in Civic, Russell or further north and being on Northbourne Avenue means it's easy to get on the highway for weekends away. The apartment has two secure underground car spaces (handy to reduce car insurance costs) and a storage cage. There is also central air-con/heating/fan throughout the apartment and a built in laundry/dryer area. There is a tailor/dry cleaning service downstairs which is handy for professionals. There are about 15 guest car spaces outside the building but within the grounds of the complex. This is a non-smoking apartment (even on the balconies) and pet free. With the departure of my old roommate the apartment will not have a dining table/chairs, TV or washing machine but I will buy a washing machine ASAP.
Short term rent available from the 9th of December until the end of February. The room comes furnished with a queen sized bed, ensuite and a ridiculous amount of T2 tea at your fingertips. Looking for someone to fill our 3rd room in a stand-alone house in O'Connor. It's a 10 minute bike ride or a 20 minute walk to the city. Room is medium sized, plenty of room for a double bed and a desk. Room is empty, house is fully furnished.
The house is a spacious 3 bedroom specimen in quiet streets of Downer. There is: • A well sized (and fully furnished) living room/dining area • A carpeted sunroom which is great for enjoying the summer warmth while not burning • New bathroom and separate toilet • Easily maintained backyard, with sufficient space for lazing in the sun • Single garage (currently occupied by a car) but with space for bikes etc • A small but nice deck with covered BBQ There is also no risk of too many chefs spoiling the broth as the kitchen isn’t huge (but is perfectly functional for a house of three). The room in question is the largest in the house, measuring 3.63m by 3.09m (not including a large built in wardrobe), and easily fits a queen bed and desk. Location wise, the house is: • Approximately 100m from a bus stop with direct route to the city (takes about 15 minutes) • 45 minute walk or 15 minute ride to the city (it is about 4.5km away) • Walking distance to Watson shops (1km) or Dickson shops (2km) • No known swooping magpies (but check out www.magpiealert.com if you are skeptical)

About the room: Sunny and quiet, you can see the backyard through the window. It can come either furnished (minus the mattress), or unfurnished. We have a wrought iron double bed frame, a big wooden chest of drawers, and an antique wooden desk and chair we can offer. About the house: It is a cosy and sunny house, with off-street parking, three bedrooms, a bathroom (both a bath and a shower), separate toilet, reverse cycle air-con, dishwasher, and bathroom heat lamps. There is also a big backyard with lots of fruit trees, a big organic veggie garden, a garage and bike shed, as well as a front garden. About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along behind the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction or you can take the bus), and there's a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and take about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to all the 'action' (:
This little house situated right in the heart of Ainslie is the perfect share house. Multiple bus stops are located within a minutes walk of the house, with Ainslie and Dickson shopping precincts being located a short 7 and 15 minute walk away respectively. The kitchen is modern, having been renovated recently, and the house has both air conditioning and gas heating, and comes fully furnished, with the exception of the two available bedrooms. Unlimited internet and the water bill are both included in the rent, and electricity and gas bills are split evenly three ways.
The House: The house is fully furnished and is very modern. It has all the facilities you need: induction cook top, ducted heating, internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The house also boasts a living room that is separate from the dining room and kitchen. We also have a massive backyard and deck, perfect for summer. Great location. Within walking distance from both Dickson shopping precinct and the Ainslie shops, and a short 5 min drive into the city. The room: The room is very large. Can easily fit a queen bed, bedside tables and a desk. It has a built in wardrobe and plenty of storage space. The large window also makes it a bright and sunny place to be.
Chez Faunce is looking for a new friend! This veteran of a sharehouse is very large, with mountains of living space, a good-sized kitchen, massive backyard (treehouse included), even a fireplace in the lounge room. The common areas are all furnished, but there is definitely scope to fit in or replace things. It's superbly located, only a 10 minute bike ride/20 minute walk/$7 Uber from Civic, right next to ANU and 4 blocks from the O'Connor shops. The room itself is not large, but it comes with it's own separate study area. The bathroom is shared with three other housemates. Lease will be up for renewal in the middle of January, and currently we are planning on renewing it. The bond is actually slightly more than 4 weeks rent ($700) as the bond is split evenly, whereas the rent is split based on bedroom size.
Hi there! We are looking for a new flatmate to share a 3 bedroom apartment in Braddon. The apartment is available from 1 December, and we would like to have someone move in ASAP! Available is a large (5.6m x 3.8m), north-facing room for $195 per week (paid monthly) with a large built-in wardrobe and skylight windows. We have two bathrooms and 1 extra toilet, so you would be sharing a bathroom with one other, but will have it to yourself most of the time. We share electricity, (approx $100 each per quarter) internet bills (approx $23 each per month) and cleaning supplies evenly. The apartment is fully furnished, except for your room, but we can probably fit additional furniture in the apartment generally. The complex has a swimming pool and large courtyard area and is a short (10-min) walk to Civic, and a 20-min walk to the ANU. The free bus to the city/ ANU is also a 2-min walk across the park.
Easy access to buses to Woden, Barton, Belconnen, Civic. 15 minute walk to Canberra Centre. 12 minute walk to Braddon. Close to O'Connor shops (and the Duxton is renovated now, so get on that). Very close to the Ruc, for when you wanna hit the rink. You can also pretty much ride anywhere inner north in <20 minutes. We get amazing northern sun in the living areas, which is perfect for napping on the floor on a Saturday afternoon. Kitchen is 10/10 - two people can cook easily together, 3 can too if someone's just heating up Dickson Asian noodle laksa. The house is fully furnished except for the bedroom.
The apartment is to be furnished with a Scandinavian style furniture when I move in later this month. I move in on the 26th of November, it is negotiable for someone to move in after this date. This unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 car-spots. It is a ground level apartment with attached private backyard. Leading into summer this apartment will be great as the kitchen, dinning room and living room are open plan into the backyard. The apartment is fully furnished, including appliances (fridge, washing machine, microwave) besides the room for rent (to move in all you need to do is furnish your room). The room for rent is the master room with a front balcony, private ensuite and built in wardrobe. The apartment is only a short walk from Northbourne avenue and a short walk to both Dickson and Civic.
