I just signed the lease and I’m very excited to move in on the 28th of December – it’s a very bright penthouse apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 balconies. One accessible from both bedrooms and the other one in next to the living room. So there is basically a balcony for sunrise and sunset. There are buildings in front, but you still get the sea and Catani Garden view from the living room and balcony. The living area has an open kitchen and – tadaa, a working fire place. Never be afraid of winter in Melbourne again. :) There is a bathroom with a bath tub and a laundry room with a second toilet. It comes with dishwasher, big fridge, dryer, air-con and a washing machine (last one I still have to buy). In the basement is a parking spot (I don’t have a car), a big storage and a bike locker room. And there is a lift up to the flat. The photos are from the internet and the current tenants – the flat will be empty (apart from a sofa) when I move in and I’ll organize new furniture, but we can also sit over the interior together. I’d love to find a good balance between cosy and minimalistic and maybe get a little vegie garden going on one of the balconies. THE LOCATION Is fantastic - It's at Beaconsfield Parade, opposite Catani Gardens, basically 200m from the beach and around 200 – 500m to Albert Park, Fitzroy St, top of Acland St and the Esplanade. This home is peaceful and the living area is TV free (ideal for those who prefer reading, talking, writing, studying, playing guitar etc!). The house is fully furnished, including the rooms (but I don't mind if you prefer to bring your own furniture). - Room 2 currently has a double bed, wardrobe, and dresser/desk. - Room 3 has a single bed, desk, small bookshelf, and hanging clothes rack. This is not a party house and wouldn't suit a smoker or a heavy drinker and definitely no drugs. Also, would not suit somebody who is addicted to facebook, or who needs to photograph everything they do or upload their personal life constantly onto social media (looking for somebody who prefers to respect each other's peace and privacy at home).
