This is a genuinely beautiful, light-filled apartment on level two of a secure South Melbourne building, and it feels calm the moment you walk in. The living, dining and kitchen flow together as one generous open space, with a semi-island bench that looks out over the shared area and makes the apartment feel social without being crowded. One of the real standouts is the expansive private terrace, larger than most in the building, which opens up the home and creates an incredible indoor-outdoor connection. It’s ideal for relaxed evenings, morning coffee, or quiet downtime, and there’s even a basketball hoop already in place. If you have outdoor furniture, it would be a very welcome bonus.
The apartment has three bedrooms in total, two of which are available, both comfortable and well proportioned. The one with the bugger window has excellent natural light and the best view out of all three room. It does not have aircon which has not been a problem at all since the house is always ambient. You just need a heater in winter. The other room ($380) has a smaller window but has aircon/heater.
There are two bathrooms. One bathroom is shared between two housemates as I have my own. I have a washing machine and a dryer too, so laundry is effortless.
The building itself is very secure and comes with excellent facilities, including an indoor 25-metre pool and a small gym, and the location is exceptional; walking distance to the Arts precinct, South Melbourne Market and the city (15 mins walk), while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. There is no traffic noise. Overall, this is a home that feels considered, spacious and grounding. Shared area is furnished, but if you have a nice couch, we could definitely make that work.
🐶 The Bonus Housemate
The apartment comes with a 4-year-old English Staffy.
Fully house-trained
Doesn’t bark
Calm, affectionate, and very respectful of space.
🏡 The Vibe
This is not a party house.
It’s a peaceful, well-kept home that feels like a retreat from the city, even though we’re so close to it.
I’m looking for late-20s to 30s professionals who:
- Work full-time or have stable income
- Are clean, organised, and respectful
- Pay rent and bills on time (non-negotiable)
- Enjoy occasional chats but also value independence
- Are comfortable with a quiet, grown-up household
- Are happy for friends to visit occasionally — reasonably and respectfully
Cleanliness is a big priority for me. Everyone takes turns with cleaning, which we manage easily via a shared group chat.

I’m a woman in my late 30s, working as a wine consultant, educator, and writer. I’ve spent many years in high-end hospitality, which means I value calm, order, consideration, and a well-run home. For me, home is a sanctuary; a place to land, reset, and feel proud of the space you live in.
I’m friendly and warm, always up for a chat in the kitchen or a shared coffee, but I also value independence and personal space. I’m not looking for a built-in social group or a party household, more a respectful, grown-up share where everyone lives their own full life and enjoys coming home to something peaceful. My housemates are moving on to a new life elsewhere, and I now have two rooms available from the 10th of March.
I’m clean, organised, and reliable, and I’m looking for housemates who feel the same way. Rent and bills paid on time, clear communication, and mutual respect are essential to me.
I live with my calm, well-trained English Staffy, who is very much part of the home. He’s quiet, affectionate, and not intrusive.
If you’re in your late 20s to 30s, working or financially stable, and looking for a beautiful, secure home that feels more like a retreat than a share house, come for an inspection and let's chat.
No couples and no more pets, sorry.
