Perfect place for somebody wanting to be close to everything! The place is within a couple of blocks from the beach/baths, local pubs/restaurants (the prince, the burwood, merewether surfhouse, the beaches) and local shops. Lounge room opens onto a balcony that’s great for sitting outside reading. There will be space for any furniture you might have as well as a lockable storage area downstairs next to the car port. Water is included in the rent so the only other bills we pay are electricity (quarterly) & internet (monthly). Very low maintenance as the building is under strata & the real estate is always super easy to deal with for repairs, etc. Friendly neighbours all around us, never any noise or dramas.
The room is pretty cosy but you can put a double bed in there and still have space for a bedside table or desk. It also has built in robes. You will only have to share the bathroom (pictured) with one other person Sarah - it has a bath and shower. All bills are included and this also includes household shared items like washing detergent, toilet paper, cleaning etc. For the price this place is really fantastic - It may be a bit rough around the edges but it has a heap of space, huge garage an awesome balcony with a waterlily pond. The kitchen has plenty of storage and is easy to cook and maintain. We have a second fridge in the garage for overflow so there is always plenty of room for everyone's stuff. Got a washing machine and outside clothes line and yeah everything functions quite well. Real estate is responsive and when we have needed anything fixed it was hassle free. There is also off street parking - though parking is only ever an issue on bin night. But we have a long driveway that fits two cars. Our ideal roommate would be someone in their mid 20s to mid 30s and working full or part-time. Would be happy to chat to some students though preference is from someone working since with us two working we do want a quiet household during the week. The room is available from the 19th of December, with the possibility it will available earlier.
Come and join us for 6 months - January to July 2020! Our place is a 3 story, 3 bedroom townhouse with 2 bathrooms. We have a deck with a BBQ for entertaining our friends, relaxing or enjoying a meal outdoors together. There is one shared off street car space that we share between the three of us. The garage can be used to store a few things but please don't bring the kitchen sink as the house is fully furnished. That being said, feel free to bring a TV if you have one as our current house mate will be leaving with the one we currently have. Your room will be on the first floor with a shared bathroom between yours and Tori's room. It is a very large carpeted room with a large 3 mirrored sliding door built in wardrobe. You will also have half of a linen closet for extra storage on the same floor. Our house is bike ride from town and beaches, a walk away from restaurants and pubs in Maryville and Carrington, and a few steps from the creek and waterfront park. We also have 2 cafes, a bottle shop, and a servo within a 5 minute walk.
THE HOUSE: The house has newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen with a decent sized backyard, perfect for backyard cricket and afternoon hangs. The garage fits two cars for plenty of storage space and driveway is long enough to fit 2-3 cars with plenty of free off-street parking nearby. Could easily walk to uni or ride your bike! As we have not moved in yet, the house is completely unfurnished however over the course of next year we intend to make it a home. Internet may not be available on move in, but we will definitely be getting it installed as soon as we can. There are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite attached to the master bedroom and the main bathroom will be shared between the other 3 rooms. All bills shared equally. No pets sorry! THE ROOM: It's 3.6 x 3.0m in size and comes unfurnished with built-in robes. Would easily fit a double bed and maybe a small desk. The open living area is decently sized and could accommodate a desk if it does not fit in the room.
