My son (19yrs) has 2 jobs, and will be recommence at Deakin Uni in March (Cyber Security)... We are all lovely people! The whole house is a functioning family home available for your use including a bright and cheerful open plan kitchen and lounge, opening up to the outdoor area and backyard. There are 2 toilets and 1 bathroom, so will have to work around each other's grooming needs. We have a charming garden and outdoor area, 3 friendly little dogs and 3 cats that sleep in the shed at night. 10 minute bus ride to town, (bus stops a few doors up the street), we keep the house tidy, be kind to each other and the animals, and no illicit drugs. This is a great position, very close to the CBD, yet quiet. There is Public transport (bus) close by. Plenty of street parking or use driveway when I'm away if you have a car. The house is large, built in the 1950's. The bedroom is large and light filled, overlooking the garden. There is a double bed and antique wardrobe with drawers. There is also a large garden and small well behaved older Poodle cross. The dog would need minding a few days per week as I work in Melbourne. ('Minding' means taking note of dog's well being, feeding once a day and a walk around the block. This would be in exchange for a reduced rent of $120. Normally the rent is $170. I’m on the the hunt for an awesome housemate to join us in our three bedroom home. The house is only a short walk the Marshall train station, which has buses to Deakin, and is set back from the road in a quiet community style estate. It’s a fairly recent build which features built in wardrobes in all rooms, separate bathroom and toilet, ducted heating and split system cooling. The common areas are fully furnished and bedrooms unfurnished, although I’m sure something could be worked out for epic housemates in need of furnishings. The bedroom is of standard size, so you'll fit a bed and desk. You will need to be added to the lease with the agent and landlords approval, after us tenants give you the tick of approval :) This is not going to be a party house, although it will be social and homely, so please, no hermit crabs. It’s weird when you literally never see the people you live with because they never leave their room. Also not keen on getting the silent treatment when sharing comunal spaces for no apparent reason. We have a border collie cross lab who loves attention. Super close to transport, university, town and the beach. The house comes fully furnished (there isn't a whole lot of room left for things). The house is an old school beach like? in appearance. The room has a small built in wardrobe and is flexible and can come furnished (bed, desk, chair, small tv ect.) or unfurnished.
Although the room is Unfurnished there is a built in wardrobe which means more room. The house is off pakington street near (approx 100-200m) the barking dog. It's a 10min walk to Geelong station with public transport with in 100m from the front door. We have a smallish backyard which is rather useful during the summer months. Bills are rather cheap, we are about to get Cable internet installed, for those who like a good internet connection.
