Hi, I am renting out rooms in a grand old family home which is close to "Newport Lakes" and public transport. Rooms are partially furnished and all kitchenware, utensils are provided- you can bring your own bed if you wish. I have 1 room available that is partly furnished. The room has an adjoining room that has been made into a study so it has a large desk and table lamp so the new tenant can use this room as a study if required. Unfortunately, there is no antenna cable installed in this room so the tenant has to use the television in the shared living room to watch free to air television. Rent is only $150 per week and the house is close to the CBD and to public transport. I pay all the bills. I currently have one tenant living in the house and my second tenant has returned home to Europe for an emergency. When he returns he will only be staying to the end of the year so I am looking for a new tenant now. His room is not the room for rent. There is a large green backyard with a wood fired barbecue for tenants to use and large front and back verandas. The back veranda has a large table and chairs for outside entertaining. If you are a student studying, there is a separate study room available that is equipped with a large office desk and chair. I stay in the house on and off, I am not there all the time, I split my time between this house and a house in Geelong. It's a very calm and relaxing place, the living room has very large windows where you get to look onto our fairly decent sized backyard. Who we are looking for? We would just like someone who can pay bills on time, respectful, clean and kind. Your room is quite big, has a walk-in wardrobe, which is also a large mirror and a decent sized window. The house is very comfortable and calm and we have a big backyard. We clean as we go and buy common household items as we go, and just try to each put in our bit. We do our own thing for meals. Tanya cooks twice a week. It's in a really good location. It's a 15 minute walk / 10 minute bike / 5 minute drive from the Yarraville centre and train station. The best part is being close to the beach and Williamstown- you do feel that the sea is not too far away. It's a 5 minute walk from Coles and a very large park. The house has central heating, gas cooking, one bathroom and a separate toilet. We rent privately though a landlord, it is $630 per month plus $20 internet and bills on top. Tanya has been at the house nearly 3 years, Gemma nearly 1 year. You will have to pay a 1 month bond up front. We have furniture for the house, feel free to bring any other touches.
