The kitchen has a large fridge, 4 burner gas stove, oven and the usual kinda business (rice cooker/sandwich press/kettle/coffee machine, microwave etc). The lounge room has a reverse cycle air conditioner, tv and 2 fold down couches. There is also a washing machine available in the laundry room. There's not really anything that the house actually needs apart from what you desire in your room but feel free to bring the things you like as the house is well equipped in terms of storage.
Hey! I'm Cassie and I own and live in a homey little apartment on the Preston/Thornbury border. I live with Nathan, my long term partner and we lease out one bedroom with ensuite. ** please note we are in Europe until October 10th and may be delayed in replying** - Room available from October 28th - inspections commencing October 12th - please read all information before enquiring :) We are 26/27 and both work shift work hours, I work in mental health and Nathan is a personal trainer. We have a greyhound Misty and two bunnies, Misty is always indoors and mostly sleeps on our bed all day. The bunnies live outside on the balcony. On weekends we go for hikes or bike rides around the city, shop at the Preston market, hang out with friends/family and go out for dinner/drinks. We occasionally have people over for dinner/wine, but usually only on weekends as we spend the week nights chilling out with Misty and watching Netflix. We would love to share our place with someone who is social, friendly, CLEAN (please!) and respectful. I am the landlord, I'm super friendly but we have a few important criteria that we are firm about: - must be vegetarian/vegan or willing to transition and only cook/eat vegetarian in the apartment. No meat allowed (also applies to people visiting). - must be an animal lover (we have 3 pets, see below) - must contribute to cleaning of shared areas (vacuuming, cleaning up after yourself, wiping benches etc.) - must pay rent on time and be willing for me to do monthly room inspections (we have had a untidy tenants in the past). - non smoker, no drugs. - we take complete responsibility for our pets but if we are away and you are willing to help look after them we may compensate you with reduced rent (optional). The room - built in wardrobe with mirrors - decent sized (3m x 3m) - ensuite bathroom - currently furnished with bed, bedside tables, desk, lamp, linen, pillows etc. About the house: - everything is furnished and just bought a new smart TV - we have air con /heating (but we rarely need the heater) - we are moving towards zero waste, we recycle soft plastics and compost. We would appreciate a shared awareness from you - we have a large north facing balcony on the 5th floor which gets heaps of sunlight and we have a bar table with 3 stools (see pictured) - we have a coffee machine and soda stream, blender in addition to all the usual appliances - we have internet and Netflix - bills are split evenly 3 ways and are usually low (approx 40-50/month each) - internet is unlimited and is $25/month - we have a small storage cage, but aside from that and your room there is nowhere else to store furniture/belongings Our pets -Sox (grey bunny) is sassy, sometimes likes a pat but will mostly keep to herself or hang with Leroy - Leroy is a light brown lop/giant bunny and similar to Sox he would prefer to keep to himself. - both bunnies live outside on our balcony, they have a hutch but are also free to roam the balcony - bunnies are not allowed inside and bunnies and Misty are to be kept separate at all times (very important!) - Misty is our newest addition, she is a rescue greyhound and is an absolute angel! She sleeps most of the day in our bedroom.
