Sorry [LOCATION] My place is situated in a perfect spot in Richmond, 180 m away to the tram stop on Bridge rd for 48, 75 and 700 m to Richmond railway station which is about 7 mins walk for me. You will also get a parking spot(uncovered or covered with a tree) in the flat complex if you are driving. I'll skip the shops and supermarkets around. Well, it's Richmond you know. [THE FLAT] The best thing I find at my flat is insulation throughout the whole year. Since it is a concrete building, it keeps heat during the winter well and amazingly cool even when outside is blistering hot. It almost gives me a chill sometimes in those hot summer days as I enter the block, and we never needed air conditioning. As my housemate leaves, I'm thinking of getting rid of the current sofa that belongs to my housemate because it is eating up quite a big space, possibly downsizing it to a chase and an armchair so hope you don't mind that. Things you need to bring in is only for yourself since the flat is currently fully furnished. We have a communal washing room on every floor, so the washing machine is separated from the flat, which I find very quiet and logical. [THE ROOM] The room is the one next to the bath and can be either unfurnished or furnished with an extra 200 dollars(a double bed and TV unit, negotiable. she says). [RENT] The rent is including water usage, and there is no gas feed in the place. Hence, only the bill you will need to deal with is electricity and monthly internet. To give you a reference, we have done $ 220 for the power for the last three months, so 36 dollars for a month per person. Having said that, the power bill actually can be doubled up during the winter from excessive usage of heating units, so preferably someone energy cautious That is about it! Please bear in mind that it is a lease transfer and the lease is getting renewed on 16th of August from my memory. I hope to find someone sooner than later. Five minute walks to all the bars and restaurants that line Bridge Rd and Victoria St. Vic Gardens is a 7 minute walk (I've timed it), and Hector's deli is literally across the road and has the most amazing sandwiches in the city. Plus it's so close to the 78, 109, 12, 48, 70 and 75 trams. North Richmond station is a 15 minute walk. This is like the nexus point of Richmond. The street is nice and quiet, plenty of parking, leafy and cosy. the house is spacious with 4 bedrooms (2 rooms upstairs where the boys are with their own bathroom, and 2 downstairs where the girls are with their own bathroom) and a great common area plus a lovely back patio that's like it's own little world. The room on offer is of decent size, built in wardrobe/storage space and enough room for a bed, extra wardrobe/ dresser drawers etc. Nice big windows that get the morning sun too. There are numerous restaurants, bars, shops and a large Coles supermarket available at our doorstep. There are also multiple public transport options, including trams and East Richmond and Richmond train stations, which are within a couple of minutes walk and will take you to the City or Chapel Street in less than 5 minutes. Our building contains a private cinema, gymnasium, jacuzzi, billiards room, communal kitchen and entertainment area for the use of its residents. The apartment itself has its own private terrace, which has been fitted out with an outdoor dining setting, barbecue and herb garden. The room on offer has a Queen-size bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and twin built-in wardrobes. Rent is $400 per week, paid in advance on a fortnightly basis. Bond is $800. The house is also huge with plenty of spaces to hang out in - formal living room, dining area, full kitchen with breakfast bar, and a huge space at the back that is large enough for a pool table, couch or bikes. There is also a large storage space under the stairs. The apartment is a good size for 2 people and furnished accordingly, the kitchen may be small, but i am willing to cook for two people most days! The bedroom is big enough to fit a small desk if you are in need, but the dining area has plenty of work space. The Laundry is shared between two apartments and is free to use, however there is no dryer. Parking is on street parking and permits are available, if you don't have a car, there is no problems because there is a tram stop 100 meters from the apartment. The is no cooling system, but the apartment generally feels cool. The TV I have is Netflix accessible so you wont need an account you can share my account!
