Hey there! I will be away on exchange in August, so we are looking for an easy-going and friendly new housemate for 6 months to fill my room. The room can be available within a week of notice. This is a great two-story share house, only a 10 minute walk to UQ and the St Lucia Village just down the road. Electricity and internet (1TB Telstra Plan) is split between the 5 housemates and paid separately from rent. There is a small cosy balcony extended from the kitchen as well as a built-in pool at the front of the house, perfect for the upcoming summer. This spacious room (~3.7 x 3.5m) has a tall ceiling with 3 large windows, letting in lots of light and fresh air. The room has a huge desk, queen-size bed and two wardrobes (stand-alone and built-in) which would preferably stay in place for the 6 months, but I'll let you decide if you like my taste in furnishings. It is one of three rooms on the top level which share the same bathroom.
Ensuite with own bathroom and separate entrance in a spacious 3-storey townhouse. The ensuite is situated on the ground floor and our common living area and kitchen are on the 1st floor. The second floor is our private living space. As mentioned above our ensuite has its own entrance and direct access to our beautiful yard, veggie garden and swimming pool. The pool is a big highlight :) Pets are not permitted in this complex and we prefer single individuals, no couples. The room is fully furnished with a queen sized bed (including a mattress and mattress protector), lights, shelves and a wardrobe. Another plus is that we recently purchased a dishwasher. So no need to wash dishes by hand anymore ;) Short facts: 14 mins. ferry to the CBD 15 mins. walk to UQ; 10 mins. train to city center 2 mins. to Guyatt Park and Brisbane River; 20 mins. walk to Toowong Mall. Our infrastructure here is really good, as we are close to UQ, Toowong Mall, various bus stops, a ferry terminal, Guyatt Park and the Brisbane River.

House This share house is one of the closest to UQ. Literally a 2 minute walk to Michie building in one direction, and 2 minutes to the IGA, ATM and a plethora of takeaway restaurants in the other. Unlike the other houses in this price range, we boast ample space and convenience you just can't beat. The split level layout allows 3 people to reside on each level, and the middle is dedicated living area. Even though there will be 5 other people in the house, it doesn't feel crowded at all. There are 3 people to each bathroom (one on each level) and 2 fridges and a freezer to share. The kitchen is large and has a great gas stove. A laundry is included as well as a front deck/patio to chill on. Room The room is exceptionally large, and can easily fit even a king size bed and amply furniture. It is somewhat divided in the middle, so its like 2 rooms in one. It comes partially furnished; the mattress and frame up against the wall are included and so is the black table and wardrobe with the towel hanging off. And the white thing next to the bed is also included (if you want). Because its on the lower level, this room remains cool in summer and warm in winter. Bills The rent itself is 171/week inclusive of water bills only. The additional internet, electric and gas is split monthly but never exceeds 9/week combined. This gives a total all inclusive price of 180/week. Car - would be prefer if the applicant did not have one, but may be negotiable.
