This location is perfect for anyone who wants to be close to the Uni of Qld (a short walk or bus ride across the bridge); the PA Hospital (about 15mins walk); South Bank, QUT and the city (10mins walk to Dutton Park train station which is 2 stops to South Bank, then across the bridge to QUT or continue on the train to the city). This is an addictive little neighbourhood and there's a bunch of coffee shops, restaurants and take away options within 5 mins walk. There's lots of funky retro "op" shops too. Woolworths is literally only 200 metres down the street and the bus stop is also only 200 metres from the front door and the service is ultra frequent (eg. every 5-10 mins to Southbank). The room available is a king single, freshly painted and comes fully furnished with a gas lift storage bed, built in robe and shelving, bookshelves, study desk and high quality Egyptian cotton bed linens and towells. The occupant of this room has sole use of the main bathroom and there's a private deck outside the bedroom too. As part of the recent renovation to the property all the windows were replaced with double glazing to make the place sound proof which is heavenly because although this is quite a funky little neighbourhood it can also be very noisy and since installing the new windows, the house is now very quiet. There's also reverse cycle A/C throughout the property, overhead fans and lovely outdoor areas including a fully landscaped private garden with a firepit and the patio and the upstairs deck are very spacious ensuring everyone has their own private outdoor area where they can retreat as well as their own private bathroom or ensuite. There's Netflix here and the place is fully and very comfortably furnished. The room available for rent is fully furnished including Egyptian cotton linens and towels. The weekly rent includes a household kitty of $80 which includes ALL utilities and internet and also covers the cost of a weekly cleaner who cleans upstairs and downstairs on alternate weeks. The kitty also covers the cost of a gardener who comes every 6 weeks to keep the garden and vegetable patch tidy. In addition to the above the weekly kitty includes all household domestic consumables such as garbage bags, toilet paper, clothes washing liquid, handwashing liquid, dishwashing liquid, Alfoil, cling wrap, paper towelling and all household cleaning products etc. I take responsibility for ensuring the house is fully stocked with all of these items. If you have a car there's also onsite undercover parking available at $25 per week. There's also street parking but it can be hard to find a space because of daily commuters arriving at 7am.. While most things are included in the cleaner's and gardener's duties there are a small number of other household chores and responsibilities which need to be done and will be negotiated when you move in.
