If you are a nature lover and wish to live in a home where there is peace and tranquility then this is the home for you. This is not a party house so would appeal to people who enjoy a quiet environment. We are in the forest residential part of The Basin, with a creek running through the front of the property, and a multitude of bird life including tame King Parrots which will eat from your hand. We also have a very friendly border collie, kitten and a chicken. This property used to be run as a BnB but we are now renting out 3 bedrooms which share the one bathroom. The rooms are fully furnished with queen sized bed, TV (or you can bring your own if it is bigger), built in robes, bed side table, chest of drawers and a desk. The house has ducted heating, evaporative cooling and there are fans in each of the bedrooms. This is a modern home with a spacious, well equipped kitchen, including built in coffee machine, dishwasher etc. looking out onto a large deck area. Other than cooking your own meals (we occasionally cook a meal for everyone) there is no requirement to do any other work around the house. Bed linen and towels can also provided if required. The house is very clean and cleaning is done on a weekly basis. The Basin is a 5 minute drive from Boronia Station or Bayswater Station which is 50 minutes by train to the city of Melbourne. There is also a bus stop at the top of the street which takes you to both railway stations.
I have 2 rooms for rent in my large 4 bedroom house. Both rooms have mirrored robes. One is slightly bigger and has better light, but is only available for 6 months. The other is available long term. Can offer to furnish larger room if required. (extra$). There is a separate study area which can be used for study, computer etc. The house has a large gym with weights, treadmill, stepper, and bikes that you are free to use. There is also a large second living space with TV so there can be some privacy if needed. Good off street parking available. You will need a car, as its a long walk from the nearest bus stop! Lots of storage space available as well. If you are an outdoors person, you will enjoy walking out the gate into some amazing walking / running / mountain biking tracks. We are surrounded by beautiful bushland so if you appreciate the hills and nature you will like the location. We also have a fully self contained underground fire bunker for emergency situations during the hotter months. All bills are included in the rent except for any non local phone calls. Internet is included but is slow. If you are clean and tidy you will fit in well. This is a non-smoking house, so obviously I would like a non-smoker only.

The house is fully furnished, has 3 rooms, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. We often just use only one room. The house has large and beautiful front and back yards, nice garden view from all the rooms. It is 5 mins drive/bus or 20 mins walk to Bayswater station where you can find cafe, shops, Coles and Asian supermarkets as well as library. We are looking for 1- 2 persons to stay in our house only.

Cons: - As we are in a built up area it can get noisy, but nothing too serious, the weekends are fine. - The house is clean and well maintained, but is not brand new, don't expect the Ritz. This house was meant for nerdy LAN parties and non window smashing house parties that last until 6am. Most of the time I'm too busy working or playing gigs to actually do any of that, so if a good nights sleep is more your style I can accommodate that too.
