This is a rather dumpy, small and rudimentary house. It has a very low ecological footprint. No space heating or cooling. No carpet anywhere. A perpetual work in progress (which I own).
The available bedroom is the fairly spacious master bedroom (3.6 m by 3.3 m). Bits of furniture can be scrounged up as needed. There's a spare room/junk room/guest room that can be shared.
The house is on a quarter acre block, largely under a young native tree canopy. There's a very neglected veggie garden with 17kL of water tanks for irrigation. We've also got a few frog ponds and plenty of lizard habitat.
1.1 km to Boronia Station and shops. A very short walk to a stop for the 753 bus. A longer walk to the national park. Off-street parking if your vehicle can negotiate the driveway, on-street if it can't.
I strive to keep this place a safe, peaceful, respectful one. My neighbours are quiet and keep an eye out for one another.
Accommodation of pets can be negotiated (being mindful of the frogs and lizards). I'm not a smoker but am potentially open to sharing with one.
Just me (Dave) in the house at the moment, which is waste. I'm a semi-retired engineer with lots of house projects on the go. Non smoker, very light social drinker, vegetarian, 56 years old. Clean, but somewhat untidy. Volunteer firefighter, hence likely to disappear frequently during summer. Alt-country/folk music fan (at low volume).
