Beautiful home in a quiet leafy spot in Thornbury close to Merri Creek and across the road from a large park. The house has amazing natural light, with large windows all around, three bathrooms (technically we can have one each, however two are shared), large living and dining area, two balconies- one of which comes off the bedroom available. The kitchen is very large, includes a dishwasher. There is ample storage around the house. Solar panels, air conditioning, gas heating and fly screens on all the windows. It's a house that has been made for living in and all the little details make that obvious. The bedroom upstairs is a mezzanine, which opens up into the shared living/kitchen area, so we do make sure we are mindful about making noise late at night, turning lights off, and taking shoes off at the door to reduce disturbance for the person upstairs, but just general courtesy that you would expect in any shared house. The room is lovely and bright, a floor to ceiling full built in wardrobe on one wall and has a door. It's a good size, can fit a large bed comfortably and has extra space for other items of furniture. There is a shared bathroom across the hall or you are welcome to also use the bathroom downstairs in the warehouse. The home is situated on top of a warehouse that is home to 6 small businesses, a social enterprise, three jewellery, and two fashion businesses. This area is not available to use for the housemates unless you wanted to rent some of the space at extra cost. We could discuss that later though. The businesses are very small and quiet, and the ladies running them are all friendly. No-one works full time there. I'm more than happy for you to use whatever you wish, with the only exception that you clean up after yourself and avoid damage where you can. Internet is unlimited. It's quite a big package that includes Fetch TV (Optus Sport and a bunch of other channels) it cost $70 a month each. I have foxtel with every channel which runs through my laptop and you are able to use for free. The lounge room has a 60" TV, Surround sound and an xbox one. Which again I am happy for you to use as long as it's used respectfully. Your bedroom is a 3x3m with a built in wardrobe. Unfortunately it does not have a window so the door is glazed glass. I am happy for you to put posters over the back of the door to maximise your privacy (You can't see through the door anyway.) There is unlimited parking across the road in the Preston South shopping centre carpark where other residents also Park. The 86 tram is right outside the front door and Bell and Thornbury train station are both approx 400m away.

We are currently looking for someone to move into a room at our 3BR townhouse in Northcote as our third housemate is moving in with his partner (nyaw!!) The room is unfurnished but has its own heater and built in wardrobe. It's a good size and can easily fit a double bed and desk. You will also have your own bathroom which has a bathtub!! The window in the room is north-facing so there is a lot of natural daylight. We potentially have a spare double ensemble bed if you need. The house is open plan kitchen/living room and is mostly furnished with the necessities (couches, TV, washing machine*, dining table, fridge, etc). We (Cal and Izzy) have just moved here from Pascoe Vale South and we love how close we are to High Street and public transport. The street we live on isn't busy so it tends to be quieter at night. We have air conditioning here which, in the unreliable Melbourne weather, has already proved useful. We have a huge backyard that Izzy will be taming over the next few months along with a two car garage for parking/storage and a hills hoist. We also have a 3 year old rescue cat Jumanji who mostly just sleeps but loves to hide in the grass out back. No dogs as she's super skittish around them. Furnishings in the house are minimal at the moment but we'll be filling it out and we're happy to accommodate your stuff.
