This place is fantastic but due to unfortunate circumstances, we have to leave. Perfect for a couple and a single, there is a huge master bedroom and large second bed. Much of the house has been recently renovated including a big new bathroom. Located right next to the 11 tram line & a corner store (that definitely has eggs), a couple of minutes from Northcote train station and less than a ten minute walk from High St Northcote (featuring several supermarkets, heaps of cafes/bars and a pumping Wednesday night trivia at the Wesley Anne). We've managed to fit three couches and a table setting in the back area (can also be used as a car port) which is perfect for afternoon chills in the sun. There's a vacant lot next door and alleyway behind so it's quite peaceful. The living area, kitchen and dining area are also quite large/open and the somewhat zany decor makes for a good time. An open plan gourmet kitchen that leads to the spacious dining and living areas, and a study/music room. *Please note that one of us is a performing musician, so this space is used semi-frequently for solo practice (guitar, violin, occasionally drums), and about once a week for full band rehearsal. I am looking for a short term tenant to rent my room in an easy going Preston share house. I will interstate for 5 weeks over the Christmas period and am looking for someone to sublet my room from Friday December 16th - January 20th. The other housemates are professional musicians who practice at home. It's generally not loud but the room would be suited to someone who doesn't mind the occasional bit of noise. We enjoy our food and drink and like the house to be a social space. The bedroom is fully furnished. No gender preference, though the other residents of the house are all males, aged 26-33. There is no longer a piano in the bedroom so it is a little more spacious.

Foodworks only a couple of blocks away, IGA and the Pearl Oyster are 10 mins walk, Preston Markets 15 minutes by bus or bike. You will have access to a kitchen and laundry (with a washing machine), and an enormous back yard with fruit trees and space for veggie gardens. The house also has a bed with mattress, some shelves and small tables if needed.

There are fantastic bikeways for getting to the CBD as well following along the Yarra or even the main roads if you need to get into town fast. There are also some mountain biking trails along the river which I've yet to fully explore. Climbing gyms are also not too far off with Lactic Factory and Northside Bouldering not too far off.
