We rent a fully renovated house in a quiet street in Warana and are located within easy walking distance of the beach and a number of cafes. The available room has a built-in robe, ceiling fan and comes unfurnished. The rest of the house is fully furnished with our whitegoods and furniture, and you would be welcome to use everything...we just ask that it's treated with care. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other and there's plenty of on-street parking available. As far as bills go, we split all power/water/internet etc. bills equally (and electricity is usually quite cheap as we have solar). The room cost itself is $143.00 per week and bond is $600 per housemate. The new housemate will need to be approved by our real estate before getting the green light to move in. * Photos coming soon * Hi there. We are a male Paramedic student and female Biomedical Science student/part time worker at an environmental contamination management company. We are a mature house in our mid 20's/early 30's. I (the female) love trying/cooking new foods, and the male is a gamer and gel ball enthusiast (like paintball). We have a few ongoing DIY projects around the house, including an edible garden, and cement and woodwork. We are looking for an easy going housemate of similar age doing full time study or work to share our house with. Our preference is for a male, however the right female applicant will also be considered. We would love for our new housemate to feel at home in a comfortable and friendly environment, with the occasional shared meal or movie night. Our house is just 3 minutes walk from the beach and parks, and we can hear the ocean waves on quiet nights while falling asleep. A small grocery, cafe, Thai restaurant, bakery and news agency are just next door. Subway and a 24 hour gym are across the road. The room available for rent is situated towards the back, with a window looking into the garden area. Cupboards, shelves and a fan are built in to the room, which can come furnished or unfurnished. There is some storage space available in the garage or outback shed. The shared areas are very spacious. The living room has a TV area and a shared bookshelf. A second outdoor living area is under a back patio, with couches and a hammock. We have a garden with herbs, fruit and vegetables that can be picked and added to meals. During the summer, we have a blow up pool for keeping cool in the day while the sun is strong. The large front porch gives a great view of lightening storms, and currently being reorganised and furnished with a growing succulents garden and sitting area. There is driveway parking for another car, or buses going South to Caloundra are less than 1 minute walk, and going North to Maroochydore is 2 minutes crossing the road. Our new housemate must not be allergic to cats as we have two felines who spend much of their time sleeping or outside. They are trained not to go into your room or jump on you, unless you want them to, and we keep a clean house free of cat hair. Included in the rent are unlimited internet, Netflix, standard water, electricity and gas usage. Please note that if there is a marked abnormal increase in bills (water, electricity etc.) that is not covered by the standard rent, the excess will be shared among all housemates.
