I just moved here and I'm still setting it up and learning its quirks and the benefits of living in this part of town. It is easy to get anywhere in town from here. There are a few shopping areas in walking distance to pick from. Buses stop a few houses away if you need that. It has evidently been well looked after and has new carpet, a gas stove, plenty of hot water and the temperature stays comfortable even with no heater on all but the coldest nights. Which room you'd have is up for negotiating and it would be based on need as they are different sizes with different amounts of storage.
Its close to the Watson and Dickson shops, The bus stops (39) just out side and if you just miss it you can walk 3 minutes down and the road and still catch it in 7 minutes. Or if you have a car the driveways all yours. The room is the main room 3.4m x 3.8m with built-in robe.

We are looking for a happy, friendly housemate to share our home. About the room: Sunny, north facing room with a huge built-in wardrobe. It can come either furnished, or unfurnished. We have a wrought iron queen bed frame, a big wooden chest of drawers, and an antique wooden desk and chair we can offer. The mattress is really comfortable. About the house: It is a cosy and sunny house, with off-street parking, three bedrooms, a bathroom (both a bath and a shower), separate toilet, reverse cycle air-con, dishwasher, and bathroom heat lamps. There is also a big backyard with lots of fruit trees, a big organic veggie garden, a garage and bike shed, as well as a large front garden. About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along in front of the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction, or you can take the bus), and there’s a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to everything.

We have a fully furnished room in a brand new apartment building with a BBQ area and a gym with cardio and weight equipment. The building is located on the corner of Dickson and Challis street and is a 5 minute walk to multiple bus stops and is a 10min drive to the city, ANU and UC. The apartment is located on the second floor of the building with a great view of Mount Majura and is beautiful, spacious and light filled north east facing, fully furnished apartment. Your bedroom is quite large with a queen bed, two bedside tables and a built in wardrobe. You will also have your own bathroom. There is a washer, dryer, dishwasher, air conditioner, heater, unlimited internet and all bills included. There is also a storage cage in the basement which is almost empty. We are happy to accept anyone (including couples), are LGBT+ friendly but unfortunately we cannot accept pets or children. Happy to accept a smoker but you will have to go outside the building to smoke as you cannot smoke on the balcony as part of the body corporate rules.

This is an older style home but the owners have installed gas heating which keeps us nice and warm in winter. There are three housemates and a spare room for storage. Each of us mainly keep to ourselves and are quite busy, but have a chat when we bump into each other. There is a large backyard - if you are a green thumb, you are welcome to set up a veggie patch or similar. You are unlikely to find another room in such a good location for this price! It is a 10-minute drive (20 minute bus ride) to the city/ANU and not much longer to Belconnen.
The apartment in De Burgh street is in a nice, secure complex with easy access to public transport (a Red Rapid stop 5 minutes walk away), bike paths, and is within easy walking distance of the city centre (roughly 30 mins walk). It has small courtyards at the front and rear of the apartment (ground floor) with high bush fences for privacy, and plenty of parking on the street if you have a car (potential to use underground visitor parking). The hot water is great, there is aircon/heating in the living room, and it will be fully furnished (except for the bedroom and lounge-room). So if you have lounge room furniture and kitchen utilities (blender, jaffle-maker, I already have a toaster) you can bring that would be fantastic! Good stove-top and well-functioning oven (electricity not gas). Both bedrooms are almost exactly the same but mirror images of each other. The available room has a sliding door on to the rear courtyard and has floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes. The room is a decent size and should be able to fit a queen bed and a small desk. The bathroom is shared, a good size and is located between the two bedrooms (the front bedroom shares a wall with the european-style laundry and the separate toilet, while the rear bedroom shares a wall with the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over the top and glass doors (no need to worry about shower curtains!). The weekly cost of $195pw doesn't include utilities, but these are usually not too bad (as there are no gas or water bills). The only bills are electricity and internet. Internet is split evenly, so $30 per month each.
