We’re looking for a new housemate to join our relaxed sharehouse in leafy Hackett 🌳.
About the house:
A classic 3-bedroom Canberra home with a huge, north-facing backyard featuring sunny spots for a cuppa, a grapevine 🍇, fig and lemon trees, and plenty of space for planting veggies 🥕🍅🥦. Inside, there’s a bright living room, a practical kitchen with good bench space and storage, and a retro pink bathtub that adds to the charm.
Location:
- Walking distance to shops, cafés, and bus routes.
- Right near the the hiking trails and wildlife of Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie ⛰️.
- ~20 mins by bike/bus to Civic, with easy access to bike paths into the city ~25 mins by bus to Belconnen/CIT.

About us:
Spencer (he/him): currently working on climate models at ANU. Outside of work he’s a big fan of going out for a run or bike ride, reading, gardening, wandering around aimlessly when the weather’s nice, or attempting new recipes and is always down for a shared dinner 🍲.
Ben (he/him): mid thirties, currently works in broadcasting at Parliament House. Travels a lot both for work and enjoyment, keen hiker/climber/kayaker and into anything outdoorsy. Fairly quiet, tidy and self sufficient person, but always happy to have a bit of a chat with like-minded people 🙂
We’re easygoing, up for a chat, and value clear communication, a reasonably clean home, and respect for downtime.
About you:
Ideally, you're in a similar life stage, friendly, communicative, reasonably clean, and happy to join for the occasional drink or dinner.
