About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along in front of the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction, or you can take the bus), and there’s a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to everything.

We are Clancy and Alice, a mid-20s couple who’ve been studying postgrad in Melbourne and traveling interstate and overseas for the past 7 years. There’s no illusions that the system is rigged, and we’re trying to balance work life with the desire to affect change where we can. Part of this is creating a communal, fun and supportive household, where we share vegetarian/vegan feasts, get creative, have interesting conversations, and enjoy evening drinks together. Bills are also spilt evenly and work out around 100-150 quarterly. We have a short term room will be available from the 28th of May til the 29th of June as Hayley is travelling Nepal for the month.
