The townhouse is on Majura Avenue close to the Ainslie Football Club. It's about 500m walk from the McArthur Ave light rail stop, so very convenient for getting into the city, and then a quick bus over to Barton/further south (or anywhere else).
The total rent for the townhouse is $950/week, with rent split based on size of rooms/ensuite etc. I have the smallest room and make use of the main/guest bathroom, so pay the least. It came fully furnished for us (Double beds/mattresses/desks/bedside tables in bedrooms; loungeroom and dining room furniture; fridge/washer/dryer), but can also ask the landlord to remove some things if you would prefer your own.
It's a newer build, so has good insulation, ducted aircon/heating for hot summer days and freezing winter days/nights. Unfortunately because of the wooden floorboards, downstairs gets colder during winter, but definitely bearable! There's a little yard that faces the road, so if you're into gardening etc, it could be a cute little spot to do some of your own.
Across the road is a beautiful green park, and 15min walk away is the Ainslie shops with the IGA (famous cheese selection) and cafes/restaurants!
There are two garage spots downstairs, one being used already by myself. Only two of us have cars currently and this has worked well, but if all three have cars, I'm sure there is something we could work out!
Electricity split 3-ways has been around $180/qtr each to give a rough estimate. This doesn't include WiFi, but we don't pay water and don't have gas.
Please note: open to couples, but understand having a couple would increase their share of rent slightly!

[MUST LOVE DOGS]
Hello!
Our names are Braedyn, Vatsal, and Mirii (the Mini Schnauzer)! I (Braedyn - He/Him) am 30 and have just finished my studies at ANU (Arts/Law) and work at ANU. I've lived in Canberra for about 10 years now and moved here for study. I'm Aboriginal and gay, so would prefer living with people who identify as being progressive, and if you're queer, that's a bonus too! I really value living with housemates who appreciate a clean/tidy house and are willing to put in effort to make that the case.
I got Mirii as a puppy nearly 5 years ago and she's become the centre of my life, so it's really important you also love dogs. She is definitely a people-dog and prefers the company of humans, but is still pretty good around most other dogs. Would absolutely love if you’re someone who wouldn’t mind helping out every now and then if I need to go away for work or family (just small things like walkies, feeding - sometimes sleepovers in your bed with her if you’re comfortable!).
Vatsal (He/Him) is a 23yo full time APS worker. As he works full time, he’s mostly in the office on weekdays, and in his free time enjoys playing board games with friends, running, going to the gym, and going out with mates. He enjoys cooking and meal prep, and likes a chat with housemates, but also respect their private time/lives.
We’d love to have shared dinners every now and then, shared TV bingeing sessions and other cute household activities!
If this sounds like the kind of place you could be happy/content in, please shoot me a message with a bit about yourself (what type of house dynamic you’re looking for/if you have any hobbies/interests)! Ideally we’d like to share with people who are:
- in their mid-20s to mid-30s
- working full-time or studying post-grad (or mature-age undergrads)
- non-smokers (including 🍃)
