Close to public transport, about 25 min walk to shops / drs / takeaway or a very quick drive.
Although we are not charging bond, we are asking to be 2 weeks rent in advance.
Fairly spacious house containing 3 bedrooms with one of the rooms converted into a living room.
Living room has a decent tv, xbox, vinyl player and aircon. Plenty of space for extra people to hang.
One room is Lee and Trav.
Last room is yours. We have some furniture for you to borrow (basic cube shelves, wardrobe, laundry basket, thai bedding roll, some kitchenware, some bedding) you can also choose to furnish the room yourself and we are happy to remove what is in there.
Kitchen, an actually good oven that works properly 😂 decent glass electric stovetop. You'd have a couple cupboards to yourself. Decent sized fridge / freezer.
Bathroom. Toilet is seperate from bathroom. Bath/shower combo. If you have mobility issues take note of the high step you have to take (although can sit on the entrance and swivel) to get in the bath. Fetal position bathtub, small (but I enjoy it) and overhead shower with plenty of space for toiletries (your own caddy). Some space in the bathroom cabinet would be yours, and some space for bedding to be stored also.
Downstairs laundry, shared well maintained washing machine. The machine is pretty new, and can handle large loads, and does a full 90⁰ wash for those with allergies. No dryer, but we are close to a laundromat. Hillshoist style clothesline, plenty of space for 3 people to hang.
Nice little garden area with lots of wildlife and a firepit if you need to touch grass. Very close to a park.

Hi we are Lee (37nb) and Trav (38m) A couple who have known each other since forever. We have been sharehousing for about 15 years in Brisbane. In our current Acacia Ridge house we have a good relationship with the real estate as long term tenants - likely ongoing, but gauranteed for another year. Currently we both are home during the day most of the time.
We run a bit of a different household that enjoys everything creative, most prominently music. Painters and crafters may have some space to work. This place is perfect for someone who wants to actively practice their instrument, or loves to make a little noise sometimes.
We have a mini studio / semi pro practice area here (not soundproof) and regularly host band bractice, and you'd be welcome to as well. Mostly metal is played here, so expect growl/scream vocals on band practice days - which you would be given notice on, but open to lots of genres if you are someone who plays other types of music.
As much as we make a bit of noise, we keep it respectful and observe correct DB and noise restrictions. We also inversley love our quiet periods too, so its not all chaos all the time.
Happy to have gatherings and a few beers, and BBQs, but not a full on party house.
Trav and I are a mix of fun and intense and chilled people who deeply value respect and kindness. We love games, music, brewing, reading and writing - Lee does the poetry, gardening and other weird things like going to the creek to record frogs. We are looking for someone who can appreciate creativity even if you don't practice it.
As we are very clean, and have experience living with people who have allergies, we are probably able to accomodate someone with severe allergies in this sharehouse. We also have experience living with physical and psychosocial disabilities / mental health issues so if this is you, please know you would be around people who probably 'get it'
We are happy to consider most folks, and dont have a particular age or background in mind. Unfortunately we cannot consider pets. We have some strong imagery and symbols around the house (nonsexual, but brutal art with gore) that might be confronting for some especially for those who are religious so please bear that in mind.
(Unfortunately) experience tells me I need to mention that we will not consider anyone who has abelist, racist, ageist, sexist or anti LGBTQI+ attitudes. Lee uses they/them pronouns, if you are someone who will fundamentally refuse to use this (learning and slip ups are fine of course.) or will deliberately insult my queer, non-white or disabled guests then please look elsewhere. Kind people only need apply.
