Hey, I’m James

I’m a Newstead based professional. I keep fairly busy but really value a calm, comfortable home. I run a business in web / e-commerce and work from an office in the Valley, with a reasonably flexible schedule. I’m motivated and organised, but not intense or chaotic about it.

At home I’m tidy, respectful, and pretty low drama. I clean as I go, don’t leave dishes hanging around, and I’m conscious of shared spaces. I’m looking to share the apartment with someone who treats it the same way and values a place that feels lived in but not messy, where everyone pulls their weight without it needing to be a big discussion.

Personality wise I’m easygoing, thoughtful, and a good communicator. I’m social but not a party house person. I enjoy chatting over dinner or a drink, but I also really value downtime and personal space. I’m very comfortable doing my own thing and respect that others are the same.

Outside of work I train regularly, mostly weights with some running, climbing, and classes mixed in. I enjoy cooking, good coffee, snow sports, scuba diving, design, and anything that involves building or improving things. I also like getting outdoors, whether that’s a walk, a swim, or a weekend trip when time allows. I fairly regularly travel and I’ll be away through March, a couple of weeks in May, and also through September at this stage.

I’m financially stable, reliable, and take commitments seriously. I’m looking for someone who is the same and wants a straightforward, respectful living arrangement.

I get along best with people who are considerate, emotionally mature, and fairly independent. Different schedules or lifestyles are totally fine as long as communication is clear and the apartment runs smoothly.
